WOW 🚨 Big Food found a loophole to still use toxic ingredients but not have to list them in the ingredients list This means we are buying items we think have certain things we’re watching for removed but they really aren’t Since most of us are getting better at reading the back of the box, big food has moved a lot of chemicals from the ingredient list to the processing list “Under FDA regulations, if a substance is used during the manufacturing of a food but is removed in some manner, it's classified as a processing aid. Processing aids fall under the incidental additive rule, which exempts very real and present chemicals from being disclosed on the ingredient label” This is FDA rules (21 CFR 101.100) that exempt certain substances from the ingredient list. These include processing aids and substances added during manufacturing but removed before final packaging or present at insignificant levels with no functional effect in the finished food.
