@Wadovski94 I’ve yet to meet a climate change activist who doesn’t drive a petrol or diesel car, doesn’t use electronic devices manufactured in China (also supporting forced labour…) and doesn’t wear clothes imported from Pakistan or India, some of the world’s leading polluters….

This isn't just sniping. They could use batteries. But batteries are expensive, heavy, limited in capacity and thus far less efficient both in handling and economics. Which is the whole problem with renewables.

In the past weeks we’ve been complaining about the weaponisation of law enforcement to suppress dissenting voices. Initially, some members of the NDC denied it and claimed we were being partisan. For some reason I’m seeing clips of Ministers of state now agreeing with us. Dear Ministers, we are grateful. But don’t just agree with us. Don’t wait for constitutional amendments. Instruct the agencies doing this to stop. You only complain when you either lack power to stop it or are scamming the people that you care, while indeed you condone it.

We have a sufficient supply of crude oil, natural gas, petrol, and diesel. Our refineries are operating at optimum capacity to meet the country's demand. Furthermore, LPG production has been ramped up at the refineries, with around 46-47 thousand tonnes of #LPG being produced in the country LPG cooking gas supply remains stable. In the last three days, 1.34 crore domestic LPG cylinders were delivered against 1.32 crore bookings, with 96% deliveries completed using DAC codes Commercial LPG supply since 1 May stands at around 13,32,000 tonnes, while 23,588 tonnes were sold in the last three days. Auto LPG sales stood at 963 tonnes, and around 18.87 lakh 5-kg cylinders were sold -Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas #MoPNG #EnergySecurity

One year ago today, the Government proscribed the direct action protest group Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation. Since then, over 3,300 arrests have been made of people holding placards. Treating protest as terrorism leaves the door wide open for governments to suppress protest movements in the future, while clamping down on solidarity with Palestinians right now. We cannot challenge injustice and uphold our own rights if we cannot come together to protest. We cannot allow the government to take that right away.
