(Not a spoiler since they removed this storyline) The reason Chaeha respects Taeseon so much is bc Taeseon helped clear his name when he was framed by that senior. He spread rumors Chaeha was the one who sneakily touched him which damaged Chaeha's reputation and led him to quit.

Chaeha's admiration for Taeseon comes from his vulnerability. He spent his whole life being treated badly. Then Taeseon came along, defended him when he was at his lowest. Finding out Taeseon knew he was a murderer's son yet still helped him only made his feelings stronger.

These parts highlight how Chaeha's feelings for Taeseon grow stronger every time Taeseon defends him. Chaeha always believed Taeseon hated him yet he was the only one who kept standing up for him. As time passed Chaeha unconsciously began longing for Taeseon to love him back.

Taeseon not only had Prosecutor Yoon look into Chaeha's uncle but also the police senior. He was furious at the thought that guy might touched Chaeha the same way he touched him. After finding this out Chaeha fell even deeper for Taeseon. No wonder he gave himself away so easily.

More context: The case Taeseon helped Chaeha with was the bribery he was framed for. Chaeha gathered all the evidence by himself to prove his own innocence which convinced Taeseon to believe him. It was also the moment Taeseon realized how good Chaeha's investigation skills were.

When would kbl stop doing 20mins per episode and make it like one hour so they can include important things 😭

Not enough budget. Ott format for mid length series is 15-30 minutes only. They need to pay more if they wanna make long form. So i guess they just go for what cheaper

I finished the novel and I was truly satisfied. The story was well written. Both ML was well written and happy that we read from TaeSeon perspective and the struggle he had with his growing feelings for ChaeHa.
