Understand this: The movies and shows about the crucifixion have been tame when compared to what He actually went through. Even The Passion Of The Christ was forced to hold back a little in order to avoid an X rating. Crucifixion was, and still is, arguably the most excruciating death someone can experience. The night before in Gethsemane, He was sweating blood. This is known as hematidrosis. This would have caused His skin to become extremely sensitive, thus making the beatings to come even worse. The fear He felt was the beginning of His feeling the weight of our iniquities being laid on Him. Yet - in this moment, He didn’t demand that the Father take it from Him. He only asked for the cup to pass Him over if it was within the Father’s will. Up next came the Cat of Nine Tails, or a Roman Flagrum. This was a weapon with long leather “tails”, each embedded with sharp bones and metal. He was flogged 39 times as Jewish law mandated “40 minus one”, because 40 was said to kill a man. This flogging wasn’t like being punished by your father’s leather belt. Every strike tore flesh, every strike exposed muscle. Every strike exposed nerve endings. Every strike tore flesh to the bone. I would like to begin by clarifying that I warmly welcomed Somaliland’s recognition by Israel and still believe it was a transformative moment for our nation. I personally organized demonstrations in support of the recognition in Hargeisa, and I was the first public official in this government to place the Israeli flag on his shoulder to rally the people around this historic event. It is also beyond doubt that mutual recognition between the two states comes with strings attached. Israel did not recognize us out of goodwill alone; it acted based on its strategic interests—particularly its security posture in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Berbera. With the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the Houthis’ previous threats to maritime routes in Bab el-Mandeb, especially targeting Israeli vessels, it is entirely logical for Israel to seek to project its maritime interests from Berbera. A military presence near Bab el-Mandeb, for example, would align with its strategic needs. However, any such arrangement must come with security guarantees for Somaliland’s strategic cities, especially Berbera. Without the capability to defend ourselves from threats posed by groups like the Houthis, it is extremely risky for the current government to treat this recognition as a behind-the-scenes deal benefiting only President Cirro’s close associates. The public deserves transparency about the conditions attached to this mutual recognition. There is, after all, no such thing as a free lunch. On the matter of accountability and asking the right questions when Somaliland faces major strategic decisions, President Cirro has historically challenged previous administrations at critical moments. He opposed the DP World agreement signed by former President Ahmed Maxamed Maxamuud Siilaanyo, even calling him a traitor for a deal that later proved instrumental in Berbera’s development and in building international confidence in Somaliland’s ability to negotiate. President Abdirahman Cirro and his party, Wadani, also opposed the MoU with Ethiopia and demanded that the government make its details public. Today, I am asking the same question President Cirro once asked others: What is happening under the table that even your ministers do not know—known only to a small circle of associates? Somaliland is a democracy, and secrecy has no place in a democratic system. Furthermore, the current situation in Somaliland’s western regions, particularly Awdal and Salal, urgently requires the government’s attention. The events in these regions have exposed the government’s inability to manage conflict effectively. When the issue of Xeer Ciise arose, the government issued at least three contradictory decisions, ultimately leading to the tragic loss of life in Borama. The president has traveled abroad numerous times, yet he has not visited the western regions to show solidarity with the people. His most recent trip was to Berbera, but perhaps he should have gone to Borama or Zeila. During his visit to Ceerigaabo, the president, accompanied by Ugaas Abdirashiid Ugaas Rooble Ugaas Doodi, carried a white cloth symbolizing peace; a well organize media campaign meant to paint the president as a great negotiator and peacemaker. Unfortunately, that same gesture has not been extended to the people of Awdal and Salal. These communities have consistently contributed to Somaliland’s stability and were, for many years, among the most peaceful regions in the country. Neglecting them is extremely dangerous for Somaliland’s long-term prosperity.

Very good run down of events here. It is very tragic to be proven wrong in the most violent of ways, with such finality. Not seeing the light until the darkness comes calling. I wonder if people in this lady's situation find themselves realising they made a devastating error in judgement as they fight for life. Or do thet still believe what they believe, even then. I feel extremely sorry this lady's young child who found her and I imagine what actually occurred in Jamie Carnie's finally moments was fear her daughter would be next. The Gardaí of course have still not released his name. This is a GDPR rights issue. I kid you not. Whatever his name is it's probably about as real as his con man perfect man routine. I bet he has committed plenty of crimes. Probably not his first murder rodeo. I STRESS I probably wouldn't have gotten along with Jamie and she probably would have hated me. Also, I certainly would not have exposed my daughter to this man under any circumstances. However, I can, when I pivot away from my outrage, see a situation where someone with her naive views thought this was a romantic situation; coming to beautiful Ireland, getting involved in the Palestinian cause with all the woke virtue signallers and then meeting someone who claimed to be fleeing war and was sweeping her off her feet. He clearly appeared to be displaying glib charm and looked clean cut and well presented. Looks like she thought she was in a movie. He would have behaved well long enough to establish a deep connection and have her trauma bonded to him. He would have told her all the bullshit lies you'd expect. Unfortunately because she didn't see Islam as the extreme barrier that it is, she overlooked the fact that in Islam women are unequivocally property akin to a dog for many men. Whatever jealousy or possessiveness that can cause a man to be controlling or violent is going to be far more normalised and accepted in Islam. It goes hand in hand. These are facts. Not "Islamophobia". It is front and centre for all to see. I see all the comments about this woman. I get it. Her empathy was suicidal (homicidal). But remember, if nothing else, she has a daughter who is 13 who is likely on social media and can see what people are saying about her mother [deserving to die]. When you say she deserved that, somewhere in that you are condoning murder. I'll likely be attacked for saying that. But it's true. I don't find her murder unsurprising. But I don't at all take pleasure in it or feel she deserved to die because of some very unwise decisions. I'm not going to lose my humanity here. Especially when her child could be watching.

Here’s my controversial opinion why you technically don’t need reps near failure for driving serious muscle hypertrophy This training style truly isn’t for everyone. It’s for the few that are obsessed with getting as big as humanly possible especially for those who have made the decision to stay natty. I have other traditional bodybuilding programs, let me know in the comments if you would like a structured program that uses a more foundational approach I’ll send you a free week. The low rep stuff is what I use, and I like to talk about it, but it’s not even close to the only program or training method I use for others. The people who say it takes too long have never tried this style of training The people who say it takes too long are wrongfully assuming you’re lifting weight that is so heavy you need 3-5 minutes between sets to recover. There are many ways to recruit high threshold motor units, and for hypertrophy doing 7-9 reps to build up fatigue so that the last 2-3 reps your body is forced to recruit these motor units might be the absolute worst way to recruit them The easiest way is to add more weight, then add the effort into the concentric phase of the reps. This way you don’t need reps near failure, and by not needing to train so close to failure, you’re able to repeat sets quicker. Some sets as soon as 30 seconds, some later or last top sets up to 2-3 minutes Regardless, when you use this method you are trading junk volume for meaningful reps. You’re also managing your time in the gym around this concept to cut out all the other exercises you normally have to do This is why people finish these sessions in 75 min or so.
