In these weeks, Ukrainian higher military educational institutions are graduating over two thousand young Ukrainian officers – lieutenants who will reinforce our combat brigades and Ukraine as a whole. They all have yet to prove themselves, their qualities, and their strength. They need to grow in experience and rank. But I have no doubt that among them are those who will rise from commanders to generals, who are now grateful to their mentors but will also undoubteedly become mentors to others when new generations of Ukrainians come to study to become officers. We believe in Ukrainians and are proud of what Ukraine is capable of! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

Tomorrow is an important day. We are anticipating a historic conclusion from the European Union—a report on Ukraine's implementation of the European Commission's recommendations. And we are already planning our next steps following this report. Our legislative efforts and the strengthening of state institutions. Ukraine has already come a long way toward stronger ties with the European Union. We are fully aware that EU membership relies on a political decision shared by all EU members that want to see a new state join, but it also relies on the candidate state itself and its work to approximate and adapt EU standards and community norms. Ukraine will join the EU. And we will achieve this, in particular, as a result of our state's internal transformation that is completely consistent with the interests of our people. The EU represents economic security and social stability for Ukraine, and Ukraine represents the strengthening of the entire EU community. And it is critical that the Ukrainian parliament continues to support the legislative efforts required for our European integration.

Mykhailo Tkach, a journalist of Ukrainska Pravda media, went to the Polish border and conducted an investigation to find out the scale of trade turnover between Poland and Belarus. It turned out that while Ukrainian agricultural products are blocked at the border, Poland pays hundreds of millions to companies from Russia and Belarus for seeds, oil and animal feed. ▪️ Poland trades with Russia and Belarus, while Ukraine is banned even from transit. Ukrainian agricultural exports to Poland fell by 40% last year. In August, amid protests, Poland banned imports of wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds from Ukraine, and in September, it added rapeseed cake and meal, corn bran, wheat flour and derivatives. Since April 2023, Ukrainian grain has been going through Poland only in transit. Despite this, protests at the border continue. There are about 6 thousand cars in line to leave Ukraine for Poland, and another 2 thousand to enter Poland Imports of agricultural products from Russia to Poland in 2023 reached $117 and exceeded the level of 2021, i.e. the level before the full-scale war. Poland purchased $55 million from Lukashenko, which also exceeds the profits of previous years. ▪️ "Disservice" to ourselves Poland not only continues to trade with the aggressor state and its satellite, but also increases imports of agricultural products. The situation already shows that the Poles have done a "disservice" to themselves, because Polish grain has been displaced by Russian grain on foreign markets. Russia, in turn, has increased its exports by stealing Ukrainian grain, among other things. ▪️ Playing on dislike of Ukrainians Some Polish pro-Russian politicians purposefully make Ukrainians public enemies. Trump declared that Ukraine has "big problems." I think Ukraine will have big problems whether Ukraine agrees to "sign the deal" or not. Because Ukraine won't stop the war, and its sabotage against Russia will continue. Of course, Russia will tolerate this for the sake of peace and only complain to the UN. But in eight years, Russia will get fed up and will have to finish what it doesn't want to finish now.

Ukraine is marking anniversaries: the adoption of the Constitution, the establishment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the restoration of our state symbols and the hryvnia. And the culmination of all this is August 24, 2026 – Independence Day of Ukraine, the 35th anniversary of its restoration. It is important that in such a year, Ukraine is giving rise to new, landmark elements of its state-building. Today, I submitted to Parliament a law on the Ukrainian National Pantheon. The names of all the heroes who, across different centuries and eras, fought for Ukraine and inspired Ukraine will be brought together and forever inscribed in our history – with a capital letter, with great respect and attention from the state. From a Ukraine that respects itself, values its people, and defends what is its own: its right to be Ukrainian. When no one, ever, will dictate how we should live, how we should speak, whom we should love, whom we should be grateful to, or which heroes we should honor.
