#WATCH | Delhi CM Rekha Gupta arrives at the site of the building collapse in Satya Niketan. Delhi Police said, “From the local enquiry, it came to knowledge that this was a 40–50-year-old building, comprising a basement and five upper floors, and it was used as a PG accommodation. Repair work was underway in the basement when the incident occurred. So far, six people have been rescued and shifted to hospitals. Search and rescue operations are continuing.”

#WATCH | Delhi: Satya Niketan building collapse | Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta says, "Approximately 80% of the debris has been cleared; only the rubble from the basement remains. It is certain that there was water in the basement, and the accumulation of water—combined with ongoing repair work on the old structure—caused the building to collapse. So far, 12 people have been recovered; six have died, while the other six are in stable condition. We are in touch with all their parents and are making every effort to ensure they face no difficulties. The children are receiving proper medical treatment. This matter is also under the direct personal supervision of our Health Minister, JP Nadda. Union Home Minister is closely monitoring the situation, and we are receiving guidance from the Prime Minister as well... No dangerous building will be spared; all such buildings will undergo a structural audit, and appropriate action will be taken..."

Parsi: There is no doubt that we have now, after 20 years of hearing from the hawks, that the only solution is to go to war, we tried it. One third of the U.S. Navy was there in the region. This was not a small operation. This was a major operation short of an actual invasion, and it failed. There is just no doubt that the military operation was not a success. And hopefully, at a minimum, we will not be having that debate again. It has now been settled. It's no longer a theoretical or academic topic. It has been tried, proven to be a failure.
