Sound of my childhood
This was the real Formula 1, not what we have today, which is nothing more than a pale shadow of what the formula once was. I feel like a lucky man to have witnessed this firsthand. May it be like that again someday. And it will!
Saw Michael once while leaving a track after qualifying. The Sprinter van was packed…and Michael was DRIVING the transport. Blessed to see so much of his brilliant career.
I don't care gow fast modern cars are, those V8's and V10's are still to this day just special
Lot’s of people watch this era with rose tinted glasses. The competition sucked and the mid to lower field was awful, they stood almost no chance. 104% rule was a weekly event

What most people remember: Glorious V10 What those same people tend to forget: traction control The screams of V10 is not complete without the 'rasp' of TCS keeping that power in check.
