F-18 catapulting from Aircraft Carrier! 🔥

some of the coolest shit ever. thought so when i was 5 years old, still cool 40 years later.

USS Nimitz, CVN 68.

🔇 An F/A-18 Super Hornet flies at supersonic speed past an aircraft carrier.

Looks like CQ and unexperienced pilot - if it's required, Afterburner is initiated in tension (not going down the stroke unless you think you might have a thrust/engine problem). Also, no clearing turn at the end of the stroke (generally don't do those during initial Carrier Qualification - CQ). Just an old paddles' 2c.

When you are on the cat, wiggle like a cat. P.S. talk to your Crew Chief Re. left engine...

Steam catapult

AB comes on just a second late. Not a huge deal, but something to go over in debrief.

Is that what you call ' shaking of feathers' ? I thought a bird only does that after landing.😄

The aircraft stretching before takeoff 🧘🏻♂️😅

Live footage of FCU Endurance launch

- . ' I'm waving back to the waving Hornet lol What does he say ? - Airborne cat 1 ? .. Hey tho 1 can see just how high the carrier sails from the sea surface .. So I guess there would be plenty of aircraft internal room ..

On the way to spread some dimocracy 🦅🦅

Bad. Ass. 💯

This is how you flex and stretch your muscles before go into battle

Always impressive!

Pure bad-assery!
