With enough power even a brick can fly.

Phantoms were awesome

Yes they were!

My dad could have been one of the pilots flying in this film, as he was one of the first Navy pilots to go to the McDonnell factory in St. Louis in 1960 to fly the Phantom.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing!

You’re welcome.

Nice one refueled.

👍🏻👍🏻

Jet noise the sound of freedom! And unfortunately, tinnitus!😂🇺🇸🇺🇸

While he was there, he spent a lot of time in Stan Musial’s place downtown. I’ll never forget the autographed pictures of Stan and Joe Torre he had in Cardinals uniforms when I was growing up.

Hell of an aircraft for it's day!

Outstanding.

👍🏻👍🏻

Cola de pato

Jerry’s been there and done that! I had the F4G Model up to 2.6 Mach, and max altitude of over 1 hundred thousand feet, zone climbing after 80 thousand. Fun times. It dark up there! Low level, 100 feet, Mach 1.5, fun again. Thanks for the video. Jerry

Beautiful plane

Nostalgia, from a time before cheap drones ruled the skies.

One of CDFPs.

Worked on them in the Air Force in the early 70's

Nice

Still one of the best and personal favorites

Phabulous.

Great video!

👍🏻👍🏻

Proof if you put enough thrust on a washing machine it will fly. Some people say brick but washing machine sounds cooler.

Wow, McDonnell before the Douglas

Wish the ones we flew were able to fly that fast.

Not once did I hear the words “flying brick”.

Phantoms, still badass, with attitude!

👍

Craig breedlove used an engine from one of these jet fighters.
