Williams AFB is now Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, and T-38’s from Texas and Oklahoma, and F-5’s from Yuma come to visit quite often.

My parent’s house would be built 11 years later in Mesa. I grew up watching the T -37 and T38s… I see these F5s often.

The F5 detachment out of Luke AFB at Williams AFB trained foreign students. in the early 1970’s they trained students from Iran and Iraq on base. They had to separate them as they did not like each other too well.
