This is the same programming that has produced the binary mind i.e. where certain demographics (women, LGBT, black) are permanently cast as oppressed & other demographics (specifically white males) are permanently cast as oppressors. It's a blighted state of mind & is directly -

Victimhood also absolves one from accountability, and lets them feel everything is allowed. Like „resistance by all means“.

being a victim is learned behavior.

Why was this experiment only done with women? It would have been interesting to see how men reacted in the same circumstances.

I think the same psychological phenomenon is at work with pro-palis/maga/scientologists/astrologers etc. They're all primed to seek and glorify horse excrement.

I'm sure there's some scientific name for the phenomenon, but it's not that dissimilar to the idea that, when you start shopping for a car, and suddenly, you see them everywhere. It almost literally becomes the most popular car ever (to you).

This is why the grievance industry, turbocharged by Blair’s Equalities Act and Human Rights Act, is so pernicious, demoralising and massively wasteful. But socialism is above all the weaponisation of grievance in pursuit of power.

Do you have a link to this study?

There’s a good book on this topic: Psycho-Cybernetics

Everyone needs to know about this experiment.

Plot twist: when they applied the makeup they removed the scars but also gave the women a blackface makeup.

Was a paper ever published of this experiment? Would like to read it.

Victimhood is a choice that I willingly refused to make as a teenager but many people embrace it as their identity. Handing all responsibility for your problems to others is apparently an attractive decision but turnes you into a weak and dependent person without willpower.

Women tend to have interior feelings that shaoe how they view the outside world, rather than judging it for what it is. If they think someone will treat them different, that's how they interpret it, devoid of reality.

This is black people in a nutshell.

Jewish people feel like this all the time. What does that say about their mentality towards non-Jews?

@MMMMeowwwwwww This does not take into account actual misogyny in interviews. Men who interview women often laugh at them or are rude to them. False equivalence

Whilst I totally agree with the point that a sense of victimhood is often self-fulfilling, I’ve always been a bit sceptical of this experiment. So people were given (probably quite convincing) make-up to appear scarred to the point of having a serious disfigurement (so this makeup would have taken a while) and somehow, it was surreptitiously removed from them without them knowing at all? They didn’t intuitively feel their face or look in a mirror? Or grow suspicious when told they weren’t allowed to look in a mirror?

True👍

@threadreaderapp unroll

Hard to believe that none of those women checked themselves in the mirror that they carried on their purse

It's obvious that people have been hallucinating oppression for many decades in the West. You can see it in normal conversation when suddenly someone gets offended quite literally by noting.

Interesting thing is, he mentions this experiment involved women. Men, we are a different thing. Because we know chicks dig scars. And men find it as a vector to start a conversation: "BROOOO, how did you get that." This is only half joke.

Wait, this is about weaponisation of Holocaust and antisemitism as well!

it's not victimhood, it's paranoid reflex, probation officers are more likely to approve probation after they had their lunch too, we don't call that victimhood.

Fact! As within so without.

WADR, hasn't the concept of empowerment through victimization been the chief impetus behind Zionism?

All sounds good...but Grifter here thinks Israel and Zionism is totally different. The Piers interview was illuminating, deflection, not answering, 'I'm not saying', I'm just think it's interesting' I wish @MaxBlumenthal or @aaronjmate would tear this guy (and his gimp) a new one

Grok, what study is Mr. Kisin referring to?

Fascinating.

Any group of people who centers themselves around "victimhood" and/or believing in a history of oppression or history of slavery -- will develop this inferiority-complex where they are very hostile against others due to paranoid feelings of being a victim.

It is now a badge of honor to be discriminated against. People see what they want to see. This is why bigotry is the foundational problem for humanity. It works negatively both ways. The woke folks are bigots covering their bigotry with false virtue. They assume others are bigots based on characteristics, which is bigotry.

Did they show the women their faces and force them to question their conviction that they were discriminated against? Indoctrinating people to allow victimhood to define them is malevolent manipulation. It warps a person's perception of the world & cripples their spirit.

Well said sir 🇺🇸👍
