Yesterday, Sky News allowed its platform to be used for India’s disinformation and fake news propaganda when Afghan anchor Yalda Hakim gave airtime to the Indian High Commissioner to spread false claims. Given Yalda’s well-known bias against Pakistan and tendency to amplify Indian narratives, it is reasonable to question whether the segment was coordinated. The individual shown is not the brother of Masood Azhar. In fact, while Vikram was fabricating claims live on UK media, Indian outlets were simultaneously reporting the individual’s death. The real Rauf Azhar is someone else, as clarified with evidence by DG ISPR. I strongly urge Government of Pakistan and Pakistan High Commission London to raise this issue with OFCOM.
