I had a good discussion with Andrew Bolt last night about demands on the US to do more for Ukraine. We often say we are friends with the US but, as friends, I think we could do more to understand why so many Americans believe that they have given Ukraine enough support. It probably has something to do with the fact that Americans have not had a proper real wage rise for 50 years, that they are crushed under $37 trillion of debt and that thousands of young Americans lost their lives in the forever terror wars. We all hate war but it is not fair to expect the US to stop all conflicts. I respect Andrew Bolt and understand his passion but I respectfully disagree. I welcome the fact that under President Trump there are at least discussions occurring to try to bring peace. I hope he succeeds.

I want to be very clear: I’m not encouraging anyone to attack, harass, or go after Dean. We don’t need to do to them what they do to us. Just because we turned the other cheek does not mean we have to stay silent when we see hypocrisy though. It’s ok to point out a double standard.
