Government does provide. Ask the senior citizens who are on Medicare or who receive Social Security. Yes, it comes from taxpayers but the entire program is managed/administrated by the federal government. The government provides protection against bad people (incarcerates the dangerous ones whose last name isn't Trump). Socialism as a governing methodology doesn't but we have MANY socialist policies that people love, including a standard military/defense, roads and bridges, the US Postal Service, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, etc. Cannot have free markets without oversight as that always works out for big business but not the people. We always get screwed without regulation. That's how 2008 happened (financial and mortgage crises). You don't control how many of us come here and vote. It's a free country. When people get sick of how terribly the GOP runs/doesn't run, they will look to Democrats and possibly even socialists. Republicans fail. Republicans increase the debt the most and create the fewest jobs. We have the data and so do you. Your days are numbered.
