FACTS MATTER: On Tuesday Rightwing commentators melted down with false outrage as they shared a cut clip from a 20 min Medal of Honor ceremony where they made it appear that Biden quickly left the stage after introducing himself to Medal of Honor recipient Larry Taylor. But the clip... came after Biden spoke for 15 minutes and then placed the medal on Taylor’s neck and saluted him. Be fair here, Brian. It's not lying to presume the worst. I have observed these sorts of ceremonies for decades. I have never once seen a President immediately leave the stage after placing the medal. At best, this was "Joe Biden from Scranton" inappropriately leaving an important ceremony for this man and his family. That more modest conclusion is still reprehensible and disrespectful. There is no good conclusion here. Every possible speculation shows Joe Biden in a horrible light.

I’m almost certain that before the ceremony they would have stated what the process would be. It’s not disrespectful if they agreed beforehand that Biden would leave after putting the medal around his neck, since he had been exposed to Jill Biden.

The full story is: Biden has no clue where he is. He’s stumbled around ceremonies all over the world. He’s wondered off the red carpet, he’s wondered through the lawn of the whitehouse, he can’t talk, he has no idea where he’s going or what he’s saying.

@Andrew_W_MG I could show you multiple videos of Trump walking the wrong way too. Biden has a stuttering issue that has gotten worse as he has aged. There is no evidence of the mental decline you suggest. Everyone’s mental acuity decreases after their mid 30’s.

Good post. I consider myself conservative on most issues, but the 'triggering' of every single minor event on the far right is no better than we've dealt with on the far left. If they want to crack political jokes, that's fine - but the outrage can be a bit annoying.

Both sides do it. The left did it with Trump. It’s important to call it out.

So… he made a speech without a mask on or barriers, then proceeded to breathe all over the back of the man’s neck while putting the medal on him, and then exited through a crowd of people… all to avoid exposing everyone to COVID. Makes perfect sense. Got it.

You don’t see the hypocrisy here where the press secretary says Biden will be doing one thing (ie masking when cannot social distance) & then when he’s around those who would be most vulnerable to COVID (elderly) he doesn’t follow their own rules? You are fine defending that?

Yeah I’m not sure why he didn’t wear a mask unless the recipient told him it was ok.

They (KJP) say he walked out due not wanting to expose those around him with potential Covid however he is standing super close to Larry Taylor and does not wear a mask for most of the evening! This is just my observation on what’s our there!

It’s almost impossible that Biden’s team and Larry Taylor didn’t discuss the process of the ceremony and the fact that Biden was exposed to possible Covid. They likely work this out together.
