MOST people do not understand these basic facts the old man is spitting out. This includes some very educated people. When your bank gives you a loan, I doesn’t mean they are collecting deposits from Zimplats and John to give you. That sort of belief—that you love your neighbor, that you look out for your community—those are American values. Right now, we have a government in Washington that doesn’t reflect the goodness of the people in our states, the goodness of the people in my state of Pennsylvania: neighbor helping neighbor, people looking out for one another, understanding it’s not a zero-sum game—that if my kid does well, it doesn’t mean your kid can’t do well. We can lift up all of God’s children and give them all a shot. I think the reality here is we have a government that doesn’t understand that—a president who is focused on his own greed, his own corruption, lining his own pockets at the expense of others. And that is a real disconnect between the goodness I see in the people and the unfortunate chaos, cruelty, and corruption of the administration in Washington.

In these last moments, we have a responsibility to face the reality of what is happening in the spiritual realm and that can be heavy sometimes. It’s isolating having spiritual eyes- having to partake in a world that you are detached from. A world that you see the truth of. A world that doesn’t see what you do. And it’s ok to talk about it. But some in the church are avoiding this. Some are sticking their heads in the sand and ignoring the fact that we are even in the end times… to a point where when people talk about the heaviness, they feel like we’re saying we have given up. Church, let’s please start answering this call to be REAL. To face the reality of what is happening-of the times we are in. Yes there is a heaviness that comes with that, but having eyes to see will always motivate us to share Jesus even more because we know we are at the end.
