Absolutely no. Carpeting your garden with plastic is even more bonkers than turfing your bedroom.

Artificial grass infilled with ground-up waste tyres is even worse as it contains over 300 toxic chemicals. These are known as 3G pitches. Our children are playing football/rugby on this toxic rubbish and they're getting cancer, some lose a leg (mainly goalkeepers). The toxic chemicals cause cancer, change your DNA for all future generations, damage sperm, affect fertility and, if pregnant, cross the placenta and damage the brains of unborn babies. But this is a multi-billion $£ industry and money is deemed more important than the health and lives of our children! They only last about 8 -10 years then they're ripped up and replaced with exactly the same toxic rubbish and the discarded pitch then ends up in artificial turf mountain ranges (see photo) that, over many hundreds of years, will eventually break down into microplastics, polluting and poisoning all fauna and flora in the environment. This is the legacy that we're leaving for our future generations, that's if there are any humans left after we've ruined our Earth. .

Why is this even a question? Introducing a shed load of unnecessary plastic into the environment, covering up ground that could and should be used by wildlife ... just ban it now

No, horrible for the environment, bad for insects, birds etc & leach toxic chemicals into the soil & cause micro plastics as they degrade. Cannot safely be disposed of either. Terrible idea esp when we need climate friendly solutions. Should be banned.

Putting aside the plastic pollution, leaching of toxins, damage to wildlife & damage to the environment it also looks tacky. Really tacky. Like something from the back ground of the Only Fools & Horses set. That kind of nasty, tacky, cheap look 🤮

It's a big NO from Heidi, especially when off cuts are left in the street. Environmentally bad for worms/insects, which then effects birds. Hold the water ( look at recent flooding ). In hot weather to hot for paws. Cannot think of one good reason
