The sophomore first baseman from Louisville is putting together one of the greatest offensive seasons in college baseball HISTORY. He’s the national leader in home runs, RBI, and total bases and he didn’t just break the ACC single-season home run record, he shattered it, 34 and counting after breaking the record that Florida State legend J.D. Drew set back in 1997 . Through 53 games, Davis is slashing .364 with 34 home runs and 93 RBI and nobody is close. 19 of his 34 home runs have come in ACC play alone the most by any ACC player in the last 10 years. Eric DuBose and co. have been on a different level on the mound, allowing no more than six runs in a game and allowing two or fewer runs in 6 of 10 games. These numbers as a staff in 10 games are impressive: 2.33 ERA 1.02 WHIP .197 Batting Average Against 75 Ks to 30 walks in 85 innings It all starts with Freshman Blake Westry, who has now logged back-to-back 5 inning scoreless appearances, including the series finale today. He has a 0.71 ERA over 12.2 innings. The success continues out of the bullpen with Camden Lyke, who hasn't allowed an earned run in 4 appearances. #D2Baseball

Cardinals Player Spotlight - Ray Lankford Lankford was born on June 5, 1967, in Los Angeles, California. He played as an outfielder in Major League Baseball, primarily for the St. Louis Cardinals, from 1990 to 2004, with a brief stint with the San Diego Padres in 2001-2002. After a taste of the big leagues in 1990, Lankford would finished 3rd in voting for the National League's Rookie of the Year in 1991. Lankford was known for his combination of power and speed, hitting 238 home runs and stealing 258 bases over his career. He spent most of his career with the Cardinals, where he became a fan favorite. His best season was arguably 1998, when he hit .293 with 31 home runs and 105 RBIs. Lankford hit 123 home runs at Busch Stadium II, the most of any player in the stadium's history. He finished his career in his home ballpark with a pinch hit home run in his final major league at bat on October 3, 2004. He is the only player to have 200 home runs and 200 stolen bases as a Cardinal. After retiring, he has occasionally been involved in coaching and mentoring young players. Jonah Savaiinaea is a very intriguing OL prospect at 6-5 336 lbs but can play OT & OG He pops off right away as an exceptional pass blocker and due to his ability to play all over the line, he seems very in tune with DL stunts He might struggle with elite speed off the edge but his versatility is great and could see him as a big time guard at the NFL This dude is SOLID
