There actually are libertarians in New Vegas. They're called The Boomers. Vault Deellers so obsessed with firearms that when the Overseer tried to lock their guns away to prevent them killing each other they fought so hard they broke their vault and had to leave. Now they just hang out at an air base and blow away anyone that comes within a mile of their fence while they dream about fixing an airplane just so they can bomb people for fun.
