its basically what u choose to believe.. so if u believe she died, then she died. if u believe she survived, then she survived. they basically gave us a choice to choose an ending to her story, i believe she survived

My problem isn't whether or not she died. It is that her death carried no emotional weight. They telegraphed it way too soon, she is there one moment gone the next (no body no death rule) and we dont get to see how her friends and family mourn her loss in the aftermath. We see Hopper watching her "die" only to see him a scene or two later dancing with Joyce at Enzo's. I felt no emotional Weight with this ending. The Duffer Brothers didnt make me choose which ending to believe... they made me not care which is true.

i think this is great writing. it allows people to pick what they want to believe so eventually pleasing more people than just straight up “el lives” or “el dies”.
