Familiar faces for a special moment

Congrats, @whoward_! Proud of you. Thanks for all you’ve done for this team, for Brody, and for my family!

Will, Thank you so much for everything you've given to this program. K-State will forever be indebted to, and grateful for you. You stepped in when Skylar went down, and let's be honest, it wasn't exactly a fairy tale from day one... But you got SO much better, EVERY single time you played. You stood in the face of adversity and grew with every opportunity. And you knocked off a 12-0, #3 national runner up to raise a Big XII Championship Trophy. You graciously and humbly allowed Adrian to take over the QB1 spot after you waited patiently & did everything you could to earn & deserve that role. You did it with high fives and hugs and smiles. You supported Avery when he got reps the VERY first time you didn't play perfectly this season. And you never once looked defeated, discouraged, or showed any other indicator of negativity that ANYONE else in the world would be unable to hide. You are a leader and a warrior. You've shown class in victory, grace & growth in defeat, and a team-first attitude throughout your entire tenure. It is truly inspirational. You make me want to be a better man. You embody everything that K-State is about, and you are a shining example of why so many of us are so proud of who we are and what K-State stands for. You are the all time passing touchdown leader... And at a school with guys like Michael Bishop, Matt Miller, Chad May, Ell Roberson, Jake Waters, Collin Klein, and the list goes on. And you are at the TOP of that. Thank you once again for being such an incredibly positive, relentless, and selfless quarterback, teammate, and person. You are a K-State LEGEND. Your name will forever hang high, not only in the record books and rafters, but in our hearts and souls and spirits. We love you, Will. 💜 NOW GO ABSOLUTELY THROTTLE THOSE FAKE BIRDS. 💜
