Water and salt… Just imagine… having no food at all. Today, it wasn’t our choice to go on a hunger strike—it was forced upon us. We found nothing to keep us alive… no crumbs, no piece of bread, nothing to feed my little ones who haven’t had a bite since yesterday. My idea today was simple… water and salt. Just water and salt. Not a choice, but a desperate attempt to silence the hunger of children suffering in silence. We once dreamed, like every human being, to live with dignity—to eat when we’re hungry, to feed our children when they cry. But that dream has become impossible. Thank you, silent world… Famine is killing us, stealing our breath one by one. We are dying slowly, dying in silence… but we will not remain silent. We’ll tell you, before hunger swallows us, that we carried dreams—we only wanted to live… in peace. We have been deprived of the most basic right… food. Leo was definitely a bright star at our sanctuary. We know he was one of your favorites too. He was 31 years old and basically just succumbed to old age. Susan and Jim were with him when he passed gently and easily in his sleep. We would like to try to create a memorial area for the bears we have lost. We would like to ask you all, if possible, if you could consider a donation to help us make this dream a reality. Thank you. Rest in peace Leo, you will be forever missed by all of us!
