Omotso was acquitted of all charges that included rape, sexual assault, and human trafficking in April 2025 from an eight-year-long trial. Masemola said Omotoso will be in court on Monday. “This morning at 05:00 in East London, members of the Department of Home Affairs Immigration Inspectorate together with the South African Police Services arrested Omotoso in the town just after the church. “He will be facing charges related to violation of the immigration act and will be appearing in court on Monday.”
