“Pride Match” what kind of nonsense is that? Rather than promoting proper education, FIFA are happy to settle for token gestures instead of truly celebrating the diversity that makes football what it is. If FIFA really care about the LGBTQ+ community, they should focus on tackling discrimination and phobia in football stadiums instead of staging a ‘pretend’ and meaningless action. This match won’t change the resentment that still exists in both nations toward the LGBTQ+ community, on the contrary, it will fuel it. This is an absolute disgrace. @FIFAcom, do better!

People are acting like FIFA created a special exception for this match. It didn’t. Under FIFA’s stadium rules, rainbow flags have been allowed all tournament, just like other approved flags (including religious flags), as long as they meet the size and conduct rules. Seattle calling it a “Pride Match” doesn’t change that.

The funny thing is, @seattle inadvertently clowned all of the LGBT/Palestine idiots.
