Three years ago today, we said goodbye to a girl who changed everything for us. When we found Tina, she was living on a short chain, used for breeding, and reduced to skin and bones. Yet despite everything she had been through, she looked up at us with pure hope in her eyes and wagged her tail. Happy Doggo was just beginning back then. We didn't have much, but we had enough love to give her six unforgettable months. Her body was too tired to stay, but in those six months, she touched millions of hearts around the world. Before she passed, we made her a promise: that her pain wouldn't be in vain, and that we would build a home for the sickest, weakest dogs who needed a miracle. Today, Tina’s Hospital is officially being built. Brick by brick, room by room, her legacy is coming to life. But we still have a long way to go, and there is still a lot of fundraising left to do to complete the build and get those doors open for the dogs who need us most. We kept our word, sweet girl. Had a lot of fun presenting a few awards at @TheAmbies , celebrating excellence in podcasting! I enjoyed meeting akaWyattCenac who did a great job hosting, Donwill.substack.com who supplied the great music that kept the vibe strong which encouraged my impromptu dancing on stage, and my fellow presenters Maulik Pancholy and Keisha TK Dutes as well as everyone else! Music in video: “You Don’t Know My Name” by yung & protracted Mask chain by @dickswaggerdrag (link in their b!o) Video Description: Actor Matt McGorry is at an event and there are various clips from the event in the video. The first clip is a brief video of him on the red carpet followed by 2 still images and then a short video of him doing an interview on the red carpet. He is wearing a white N95 mask with a silver mask chain, a blue patterned jacket with different textures, and white shoes. The next clip if of him walking on stage with many brightly lit screens behind him. He stops to throw ass to the beat before presenting an award. We then cut to Wyatt Cenac who is hosting the event, wearing a blue suit and standing at the clear lectern. Back to Matt walking on the stage again, throwing his shirt off his shoulder to burlesque-sounding music. We cut to Renée Wilson celebrating and walking to go up to go on stage to accept an award for her podcast “Red For Revolution,” followed by still images of Matt and fellow presenters, Maulik Pancholy and TK Dutes.

And, there's a lot I want to share, I'll go ahead and take my time. We're artists in our 10th years now, right? At this point, it's like there are a lot of worries and things to think about. The members have started going to the army, I really felt their empty presence, and I wondered until when the fans will continue to love us, I'm sure we all wondered that. But, after the 10th anniversary, and the album got released, up to the concert practice, while watching all our members, I thought this. Our passion has not died down yet. We're still walking towards the same path, the same goal. Of course, we can't go with the same energy that we had in our early 20, but still inside our hearts, the fire hasn't gone out. So I had that realization. We will go on for a long time. I want to continue this for a long, long time. That's what I thought. So that's why, from now on, how could we make Carat proud? Wondering this, how can we become better and better in those ways? And just like the concert title NEW_, I think we could show those sides, but we will each develop in our own ways. Done. 🐯 since we’re going to celebrate our 4th anniversary soon, lets talk about our debut days. It was the live broadcast that time, 7th August, 6PM. Everyone was crying, I couldn’t believe it at that time, like, “is it real?” it’s like, I felt like I still can’t do anything. “would I become a help to the team once i debut? will I be that kind of existence?” I remembered that I felt a sense of uneasiness that time. Thats why, when we went to MAMA awards & received our rookie award, it was from there that I gained my confidence, I had no confidence at all before that. I was really thankful that time & really… “I really want to repay these people”, & thinking that they’re really our fans woah… that time we couldn’t even hear the audience cheering too right? because of the pandemic? the audience was not there even when we performed. It’s like we have fans but we don’t know but at the same time we know? how to communicate that well with them. But that time, we really wanted to repay teumes, we want to do everything that teumes wanted us to do… first of all, we want to make teumes happy! during TRACE concert too! It was our first ever audience, although cheering was not allowed, still, seeing that there was an audience in front of us while we performed… yeah I had red hair that time too. It was my best weight loss period ever. Then, when I looked back again, there’s a lot of memories. That one, we will talk about it once we celebrate our 4th year anniversary. 🐯 by the way, I really want to do everything for teumes. Its already our 4th anniversary. It’s like for 2 years- I feel like we- I feel like it's only been 2 years? but 4 years has already passed. as much as that our level of trust now is building gradually right? with me, teumes, & us. It’s like, the relationship between us, it was different than before. It’s hard for me to put it into words, but I feel like our relationship is strong? It’s like, although someone pull hard, its not that easy to unravel it? I really like it when Taerae opens up like this to us 🥺 🐥 Lately, I’ve been thinking about this too… It took me a really long time, but I have finally come to a place where I got used to our team and can truly enjoy being an idol and performing on stage. There's going to be a lot of change. The things you study... some of them may become obsolete or revolutionized. But some things will be retained." On new opportunities: "Previously, you had to go through years and years of education and get a math PhD before you could contribute to the frontier of math research. But now it's quite possible at the high school level that you could get involved in a math project and actually make a real contribution... because of all these AI tools and Lean and everything else." This past 8 years has been the wildest chapter in my career thus far by a long shot.. Each Wednesday album is like a little window into where both myself and the world around us were at during that moment in time. Through the process we learned together. We grew together. We agreed, disagreed, and (hopefully) found a way to respect our differences.. And most importantly, we had a lot of fun. I’ve never worked harder on anything in my life than Last Wednesday. It is, without a doubt IMO, the single greatest body of work I’ve ever created over the course of my 15 year career. I don’t ask yall for all that much.. I’m not one to try to force my fans into buying my music so it charts on billboard or racks up crazy views” counts to brag about. I don’t care about all that. All I ask is that you listen to this thing front to back (as it’s intended to be listened to) and spread the word so others hear it too. I make music to be listened to and appreciated. That’s the legacy I’ve ultimately been chasing this whole time, and so that’s all I ask of you now.. Go bump the hell outta Last Wednesday and ENJOY THE MUSIC !! Cheers. 🐰: i feel so sorry that i couldn’t go to the music shows this time. i’m really sorry. actually, i even feel sorry for saying that I’m sorry. really… i actually planned to go to all the music shows. i really wanted to go to all of them. and, you know, dino is the kind of younger brother who always comes whenever we have music-show promotions. so knowing how grateful i am for that... and he really worked so hard preparing this album 🐰: he had so many things to worry about, and he went through a lot of stress… i knew that, so i i really thought, ‘i have to go support him. i really have to go’. but there were more overlaps with the things i had to do than i expected 🐰: so i said, ‘chan, send me the schedule. let me see the schedule’, and… it seemed like the time for would work the best. but on the exact day of , i had something scheduled at around 11. i went to the shop, and then another schedule came up. there was something i had to do… 🐰: i mean, if i went there in the early morning and came back, i could go, i could… but… this is an excuse, i know i’m making excuses right now… i felt like it might interfere with things a little, so i thought, ‘then i should go to’. but honestly, i didn’t know that was… well, i didn’t know that the thing was a live broadcast. so right after that recording ended, i asked the manager, ‘manager, what time is the pre-recording tomorrow?’ and he said, ‘tomorrow is’ 🐰: he said, ‘so there’s only the 10 am run-through.’ and that’s when i thought, ‘oh, crap.’ so i immediately called dino… well, i called him first, but he didn’t answer, so i left him a text. i said, ‘dino, i just found out that there isn’t an pre-recording. i’m sorry. i was going to go during, but i had this schedule… so i was going to go to instead, but i couldn’t go. i’m really sorry’ 🐰: then chan called me back later because he couldn’t answer before, and he said, 🦦: hyung, i’m really grateful just for the thought 🐰: and i felt so sorry 🐰: so for the concert, i’m planning to go on both the first and second days… i have something else on the third day, so i can’t go that day… but i’m going to go on both the first and second days oh my god, to think dokyeom has been thinking about this all the time 😭

I really love this part of the interview. It shows how much effort they’ve put in, how much they’ve grown, and how they still genuinely want to keep learning about each other. MC: Has it taken you a long time to get to where you are now? Have there been any conflicts between you? What kind? Gawin : Yeah, there have. Joss: I think the conflicts mostly come from differences in lifestyle and personality. When you spend a lot of time together, you’re bound to see both the good and the bad sides. Like me… I’ve said this before, but my energy tends to push, while his is more pull. I’m the type who always wants to do this, do that, go here, go there. I’m always inviting him to do things. Sometimes, I end up stepping into his space a bit too much. And Gawin is like… introvert level 900. MC: Level 900? Joss: Honestly, more like 999. He needs to go home and recharge, spend time on his own. But sometimes I feel like there are so many things I want him to do with me, so I might invite him a bit too much. And when he doesn’t respond or join in, because he needs to recharge, I end up feeling a certain way. MC: Like upset? Joss: Yeah. But in the end, I have to reflect on myself too. Like, am I pushing him too much? I have friends who help me understand that even if I think what I’m offering is good, he’s the one who gets to decide whether it’s good for him or not. He has to choose for himself. So I think it’s better for me to just give him space. If he wants to join, he can come in on his own. But it’s still a process, we’re still learning about each other. We haven’t known each other for that long. Three years isn’t actually that long. Gawin: Has it really been three years already? Joss: Around two to three years, right?
