It doesn't have everything it needs at the moment of conception. It also needs a person's body until it's developed enough to be an actual person itself. Therein lies the point, and that's precisely why it was ignored.

Just ask pro-abortion people if they would condone abortions for pregnant dogs and cats to control their population or relieve them from having to give birth. They flip out and say that's disgusting.

This is like saying masturbation is murder because that seed had the potential to fertilize an egg and create a human life.

"no such thing as potential human beings, only human beings with potential" ♡

Do you think dead skin cells that humans shed naturally and constantly are the exact same as the cells in a developing baby that will eventually become a human? This is scientific ignorance.

Another thing to point out is that from the moment of conception, the zygote has DNA unique to itself, different from the mother's DNA. This means it's not part of the mother's body, but a unique living entity.

I love this!!! Ty for posting 😁🫶

You’re welcome.

Abortion is a procedure that terminates human life as it develops. Adult; child; infant; fetus— all are human life. Abortion literally terminates innocent human life. When you create human life, and then terminate that life b/c bringing it to term would inconvenience you— you are sacrificing innocent human life for convenience. Abortion as birth control is human sacrifice.

And very easy to pick apart. "The child has everything they need at the moment of conception to realize their future development." If this were true you could easily remove a fetus from the womb and allow it to come to term externally. But it doesn't have everything it needs.

Interestingly this argument breaks down. He claims from the moment of conception there is whole self. However, at conception, that fertilized mass of cells can still split into twins or triplets or quadruplets, etc. I’m not beefing with his pro-life stance, but the argument attempts to make a point that it easily disprovable, specifically, that whole self exists at fertilization. Unfortunately, on a scientific level, the lines in the sand all seem rather arbitrary. Should contraception be allowed? Catholics for the longest time said no. Abortion prior to X point? What if we had different terminology depending on the when. I find it interesting, and frankly don’t have a strong opinion one way or the other, but find holes in most arguments like this.

My mom refused to have an abortion in 1963 when she was 16 years old. She grew up in an affluent family in El Paso, Tx. Abortion was illegal then, but back-alley abortions were available in Juarez just across the border. That was where my grandfather told my mom he was taking her for an abortion so she wouldn’t “ruin the rest of her life.” She refused, he kicked her out, and my dad’s family took her in. Her parents disowned her. She married my dad, and I was born a few months later. I became a Christian and began following Jesus when I was a teenager. I shared the gospel with both my parents, and they both received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I’m so thankful for God’s grace and that my parents chose life for me. My dad went to Heaven in 2021. He is in the fullness of God’s presence now and forever! Glory to God! "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” Jeremiah 1:5

You can’t freeze a bay but you can a fetus

"There's no such thing as a potential human being, only actual human beings with great potential" so good

Yeah if you have the IQ of a soggy potato

This shows an ignorance of biology. A fetus is not a “whole human being.” Babies bodies are built gradually, using materials from the woman’s blood, bones, & other body parts. They are finished being built—are whole human beings—when they are viable—can survive outside the womb.

The science? No, it's faith. It's a faith position to decide that non-sentient life that happens to have human DNA as a value equal to a person. It has nothing to do with science.

Unfortunately this is someone with a super poor knowledge of biology trying to make sense of things that are way beyond them 😅 twas a great try tho, but very inaccurate

Lol a child at the point of conception DEFINITELY doesn't have 'everything it needs'. A functional woman's womb is every bit as important to the creation of a human as the egg or sperm. The consent of the woman to carry the child is every bit as important as all other consent.

Evil Idiocracy 🙈

Fantastic? This is gibberish. Besides, Sam Harris directly addresses pro lifer logic in his book Letter to a Christian Nation

Doesn't actually delve into why we consider one a 'part' and another a 'whole' except 'muh DNA'. It's very easy to argue that it's not whole or separate at all because it is 100% dependent on the mother for its existence, the exact same way her own hand is.

A lot of bullshit talk for a dude who seemingly forgot umbilical cords existed. If a fetus has “everything it needs” the umbilical cord wouldn’t need to exist.

A fetus DOES NOT have all it needs to develop into a fully functioning individual. If it did, it would not need to be inside the pregnant person's body, directly connected to it.

Womens periods and men jerking off also are potential teenagers and people.

exactly. children and the elderly would die without support. are they then not human?

Fetuses do not have everything they need at conception. A lot can go wrong and often does during early development. Spontaneous abortion is common and occurs due to no fault of the mother or father. He has confused ideology with science.

fantastic pro choice breakdown: If you're pro-life, you should LEGALLY, be forced to adopt and care for 1 child. If you care so much about other people's choices, and you stop them from those decisions, you should have to reap what you sow.

This is "fantastic" only if you don't know what you are talking about and don't want to learn about these topics in serious ways. Yes, mammalian bodies start at conception or soon after. Not the issue, for many reasons.

it quite literally is not whole, it doesn't have all it needs otherwise it could be extracted at any point and kept alive, which is impossible. Also not a person, debateable at what point it is but certainly not conception 1-2-4-8+ cells are not a person. Horrible pro-life point

They know the truth but they need an excuse to be evil

The lengths people will go to excuse women’s bloodlust and mass murder. Unbelievable.

I kept waiting for the "fantastic pro life breakdown" to show up. Did you maybe post the wrong video?

It’s a tragedy this requires an explanation at all.
