Port Milwaukee, one of my favorite slivers of space in the city. Desolate despite being in skyline shadows. Always feels like you’re trespassing here. A place with big shoulders. Lakers, Salties and barges bring salt, steel and limestone.

Here’s a video unveiling the UK cover of THE CASTLE! I’m being secretive about the twists and turns but the video includes tiny slivers of audio from my reporting. ‘Ridiculously compelling…vintage Ronson. Wise, timely and extremely funny’ - Louis Theroux Preorder in bio!

.delian on data centers in space: "Do I think that the space economics are going to beat out nuclear powered data centers run by Crusoe in Texas? No, man, come on." "In order for that to work, you have to be short nuclear, short optical fiber on the ground, short the ability build buildings, short solar panels, short batteries. All of those things are making incredible progress super rapidly and in space those things are more complex." "There might be some slivers where it makes sense to have data centers in space, but I feel very confident that it's going to be slivers."

A homeless man has built an underground shelter beneath thousands of pieces of driftwood, an improvised apartment hidden along the riverbank. Inside are two small bedrooms, one still under construction, barely lit by slivers of daylight cutting through gaps in the wood. The

🔥ASST TO $400 PER SHARE?!? THE ULTIMATE STRIVE BULL CASE🔥 SATA is becoming the BLACK HOLE for NORMIE CAPITAL. In fact, not only NORMIE CAPITAL, but it will be competing inside of an ENORMOUS total addressable market. Think stablecoins, bond ETFs, money market accounts, and MORE! They only need to capture SLIVERS of a PERCENTAGE POINT in these areas to drive MASSIVE SHAREHOLDER GROWTH. I am using BEARISH INPUTS for Bitcoin prices and Strive Bitcoin accumulation and my results are putting me in the HUNDREDS of DOLLARS from here. The math will BLOW YOUR MIND. IT IS TIME TO RETIRE MY BLOODLINE:

This feels like a betrayal… but make it dessert. She orders cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory thinking she already knows what to expect; those big, iconic slices. But when she opens the box? Silence… then confusion… then straight-up disbelief. 👀 “These aren’t slices… these are slivers.” One by one, she pulls them out; pineapple? skinny. caramel? skinny. Oreo? barely passing. Only ONE slice looks like the “real” cheesecake she remembers. Same price… half the experience. If portions are shrinking but prices aren’t… people are going to notice FAST. Have the slices actually gotten smaller; or is this just a one-time miss? And be honest… would you have asked for your money back?

People are completely losing their minds wondering where the grass goes when a robot mows, but the reality is pure genius. These 2500 to 5k machines patrol the terrain constantly while you are at work, shaving off tiny, microscopic slivers of grass at a time. Because the machine is constantly digesting the lawn down to the perfect size, it doesn't leave behind ugly, suffocating clumps. Those tiny trimmings instantly drop straight to the dirt, decomposing in days to act like natural manure that feeds the soil. Would you invest in one or enjoy the grind of a riding lawnmower?

I’m not out on the jobsite a whole lot anymore—but whenever it comes to the brickwork, that’s where I’m still heavily involved. On Townsend, we are doing a chamfered corner (45 degree angle), and most masons today will either cut the angle into the face of the brick, exposing a cut edge which looks really different than a finished edge, OR will just butt the brick together, not lapping it, and leave a continuous joint that will start to pull apart—which also looks bad (and lets water in). We always want to lap our brick for proper “bonding”. It’s way better functionally, and also looks much better. That’s what we are doing here, laying out all of our brickwork, particularly how we are handling these chamfers, and making sure we aren’t going to end up with any tiny brick “slivers”. A little attention to detail goes a long way here. People often ask why our buildings look so different, or comment that our buildings look “old” (in a good way). This is one of the reasons: we are practicing good masonry techniques, and while most people don’t actually know what details to look for when looking at a brick building, they sense it. There are a number of other reasons modern brick buildings typically look crappy compared to older brick buildings, and this is one of them!
