On the 21st of June 2022, 4 years ago, when I was still a surgeon, I had no social media presence of significance, and a year before I started my podcast, I attended this meeting. I listened to Aseem Malhotra and Jay Battachyria essentially say that mistakes were made, and it was simply well-intentioned people who made mistakes during covid. To say I was disappointed was a huge understatement. When the mic was given over to the floor, I was the first to speak. And what was their response? They didn't have any.

Joke aside, I will never stop saying that I adore their friendship a lot. They still did it together. They were still enthusiastic about wearing the prepared props, carrying their own wands until the end, shouting “enjoy it” bc they had to walk in public in costumes, Jeonghan was even busy trying to switch houses to match with his hair 😭 During the event, they were asked to put down their phones to maintain the quality of togetherness. Dokyeom worked hard to arrange everything so it could happen, and the members reassured him that they liked it. Mind you, they have had to live and work together as thirteen ppl for over ten years, yet they still have such a beautiful quality of friendship. That is truly amazing 💅

AS WE CONTINUE TO TALK ABOUT ALL THINGS ANTM.... I WANNA COVERED THIS TOPIC DURING THE GUYS & GIRLS ERA OF THE SHOW. - Cycle 21 was the 2nd installment of the guys & girls season. On Cycle 21 one of the male contestants named Will was a openly gay man competing on this show. Will unfortunately had to deal with a homophobic situation, when he overheard one of his casemates say that he will be upset if a man walk in heels were to win the show. Which Will during casting week during this cycle... he wore heels. And it really truly did hurt Will's feelings because he already had to deal with his parents and other people being ashamed of his sexuality. So it really motivated Will to go to panel/judging wearing his high heels loud and proud. And this is to me when is only of the few and rare times we seen Tyra as truly genuine defending someone and their sexuality. And I love how Tyra did explain that the modeling industry was evolving and that they are always different types of people that you will be working with. And that you need to be more open and accepting about it. #ANTM

I remembered how I joined my elder sister praying and hoping Agbani Darego would win Miss World 2001. She became the first Black African winner and made history that day. Our house erupted in shouts of joy that still live rent-free in my head. Nigeria was set to host Miss World 2002 as the winner’s country. It was meant to be our big moment to showcase our culture, tourism, and potential. But the religion that keeps giving “peace upon peace” happened. Conservative Muslim groups called the pageant immoral. Riots broke out, especially in Kaduna, with churches torched and over 200 lives lost. The “religion of peace” could not tolerate women in evening gowns and swimsuits. The organisers had no choice but to pack the girls and flee to London. The grand event that should have brought Nigeria global glory was forced out of the country. Till date, it still disappoints me deeply. The same group of people keeps spoiling any speck of goodness that finds its way here.👌🏾

Today in Hub, I had the privilege of organizing a humanitarian initiative in which ration bags were distributed among 500 deserving families from Hub and the surrounding areas. As Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights, I firmly believe that serving humanity and extending support to vulnerable segments of society is both a moral and social responsibility. This initiative was undertaken to assist underprivileged and white-collar families who are facing economic hardships, particularly during these challenging times. I was pleased to be joined by Mir Ali Asghar Zehri, Personal Secretary to Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, who also participated in the ceremony and personally distributed ration among the deserving families. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to PRC and KRCS for their valuable support and cooperation in making this initiative possible. Their continued commitment to humanitarian service plays an important role in reaching those who need assistance the most. Our objective is not limited to the distribution of ration alone; rather, it is part of a broader commitment to promote compassion, social responsibility, and community solidarity. Hello Cyprian. I’ve seen people asking who was behind the failed Raha Fest, which scammed Kenyans during the NYE concert at Uhuru Gardens. The organizer for the event was CateChrisLtd owned by Chris Kirwa. It’s both hilarious and disappointing that this renowned event organizer has erased all traces of the NYE party from his social media profiles. Clearly, he’s trying to distance himself from the failure. This is the same person who also organized the disastrous Diamond Sherehe Festival that flopped last year December, having 2 failed events within a month. Interestingly, I have videos of Chris Kirwa actively hyping Raha Fest during the setup phase whereby he posted reels and updates to create FOMO, but it seems that he deleted all those posts once it became clear the event was a failure. This level of silence and lack of accountability is not only shameful but also a huge blow to the events and concerts industry in Kenya. How does someone with such a history of flopped events continue to mislead the public without taking responsibility? Chris Kirwa’s actions are eroding trust in the entertainment scene and scamming unsuspecting Kenyans who just want a good time. Kindly let’s hold him accountable.

I remember during HLA...after the last screening, when they officially signed off Joy and Ethan..we never really saw them together again until BFS. All that sweetness we watched before? The skydiving in Dubai, the hugs… gone. Just like that. In BFS, their interactions were suddenly very casual. And that’s when it hit me..the real issue with fans is that we romanticize everything. Every move, every look, every statement during promo season..we take it to heart. But in real life? That’s all it was. PROMO. Did anyone actually think Dustin would be okay with two guys openly liking Bianca? That Bianca would say it’s fine to fall for two men? That Will genuinely liked Bianca in real life? When even before all of that, Dustin was the only one consistently around her? From KathDen, I learned one thing.. during promo season, they could say even the oddest things like "matamis ang hilaw na manga" para lang makabenta.. Its up to us to spot whats true and what's not. I’m honestly glad I jumped off the ship while I still had love for both of them. Because if I stayed any longer..like what the catchers are doing now? I probably would’ve turned into a full-time hater too 😂 #mykathdenera
