Fast arcade games are a lost art

IDAS8 is good but D6 is where it’s at. i wish SEGA would release an Initial D Arcade collection on consoles

I wish they just release the initial D series games globally on home console but they’re too scared to do it. the arcade business is already dying and the only reason they can justify its’ existence is the cabinet exclusive

That’s because most of the people would say: “ThOsE phYsIcS arEn’T eVen ReALisTic” Dude literally let me have fun I don’t want a simcade on every single racing game

genuinely love the initial d arcade games so much. they're all quite technical in my experience and it's a "tough love" approach to learning, it really forces you to get to know your car and the route you're racing. wish they had more support in the states 🥲

Arcade Stage post in my feed in the big '25🤍🤍 D8 has decent sense of speed (altho not as good as D6's) but its also significantly easier to learn, join the emulation community and keep this game alive (also because I need people to do online battles with lol)

I can't stand 8's handling model, but it has the most content out of all IDAS. Wish they brought back Shin Myogi & Shin Usui from Special Stage rather than the fake ones we have right now.

This doesn't look very fast, honestly. The Sonic karting game might even feel faster on a tighter track.

Yeah, top speed is on the low side but clearing a hairpin with 0 speed loss also helps.

I don't think SRC's SSS is that different. ID's narrow roads help a lot with sensation of speed. Also I would love to catch up with ID games. What's the best I can play through Teknoparrot?

Everything is now playable i think. Even the currently active ones. The newer ones you gotta dig deep or know someone who does because SEGA currently actively trying to scrub the internet of its’ files. I don’t have the files though
