Fast Thoughts: There were some slight differences between the Elliott-Hamlin wreck and the Wallace-Larson wreck but if NASCAR feels Chase Elliott wrecked Hamlin on purpose and therefore suspends Chase Elliott, it would be justifiable.

Will NASCAR suspend Hamlin after Charlotte? For squeezing Elliott into the wall before Elliott's supposed retaliation. Hamlin sure goes out of his way to provoke NASCAR to penalize his opponents.

It's about time Chase stood up for himself AND it's about time Denny got what he deserved. If Chase gets suspended, so be it. It's not really going to hurt him. He's still going to win and/or point his way into the playoffs.

No different than how Hamlin races.

The data Hamlin claims proves Chase did it actually shows Chase got out of the throttle and hard into the brakes. The exact opposite of what Bubba did last year and the opposite of what someone trying to hook would do. And Chase's R rear was leaving rubber marks on the track before hitting Hamlin - consistent with a R rear broken toe link from Hamlin running Chase into the wall. I think Chase is owed an apology, not a suspension (unless there is a hell of a lot more data out there than a L-R-L-R turn curve on SMR which would be caused by a broken toe link too)

Nothing justifiable about repeat offenders walling guys and not getting the payback they are owed.

Hamlin’s went from one of the most respected drivers over the years to one of most disliked over the last few. Well earned imo.

Was it intentional? yep. Does Denny owe him one? Yep. Should he be parked another race? Nope. Seen much worse not get parked. Now Chase will probably get a phone call asking if he would like to not miss a race moving forward and ask him to act accordingly.

Nascar suspend one of it’s most popular assets??? Can you imagine the hate “mail”. They won’t do it. People turn on Nascar just to watch Chase Elliot.
