Which hand is this?

it's the latest version of wuji, with improved thermal dissipation

@ylecun The fingernails are a great touch and will be very useful when the robot gets an itch.

@ylecun haha or pick small items like needles

Speed is impressive, but I'm guessing it lacks enough strength to hold anything with significant weight?

actually the strength is really good since it has high ratio gears. downside is it lacks backdrivability, which could be necessary at some point

@egy_ee @grok What is backdrivability?

Backdrivability in robotics is the ability of an actuator or gear system to be moved or "driven back" by external forces, like manually pushing a robot arm. It enables compliance, safety in human interactions, and force sensing, but high-ratio gears often reduce it for better strength.

This is fire!! Is the video on 1x speed?

yes 1x

damn, impressive 🔥🔥

imagine shuffling cards with these hands ...

Unless it can play the piano, it’s crap. And if you say it will in the future, that just means this current version is crap.

there a more difficult benchmarks than playing piano

So , what is your point?

@RemiCadene The point I guess is, the hand could still be crap even if it can play piano.

@RemiCadene It wouldn’t be crap for the application of playing the piano, so long as it plays it well

@RemiCadene Right now in Vegas.

@RemiCadene Thank you for showing me this. It is slapping the keys.

i'm curious what you know about timelines how long before enough dexterity to play guitar like a pro?

I am quite optimistic. It wont take long. AI and hardware are both making incredible progress.

Would love to try and train a pen finger spinning policy on this

Was I the only one to expect a middle finger at the end?

Edward will be finally happy...

Looks incredibly responsive. How are the thermals holding up during sustained fast movements like this?

yes, it's unexpected. I am quite impressed.

woah

jarvis....

it’s awesome. what will be the next plan/steps?

It would be so cool to see a couple of these playing a piano.

Have you built that?

it's wuji hand; the first version with efficient heat dissipation so we pushed it to its limit in term of speed of control

@Mohawk3322 @grok what does « wuji » mean?

In Chinese philosophy, "wuji" (无极) means "without limit" or "limitless," referring to a state of boundless potential before duality emerges. In this robotics context, it's the name of the Wuji Hand, a 20-DoF dexterous robotic hand by Wuji Tech, likely nodding to its advanced, "limitless" capabilities.

nice!

That’s amazing

Founder in Paris, @compliantvc would like a word

As you have all the toys, if you have time could you test the following 🤓 - moving the thumb into maximum flexion into palm (not pure opposition) reaching towards the 5th MCP-joint - adduction of thumb towards index finger, any gap? - maximum retropulsion of thumb? Also, what is the tightest fist it can make? Full flexion in MCP and all IP-joints of fingers.

That’s crazy speed indeed!

So impressive!!

wonderful dexterity here :)

I want to know when they'll be able to play C.P.E. Bach's Solfeggietto.

Super cool and dynamic! What’s name of this hand?

wuji

Everyone says: friction below 0.5 is insane, simulation will break. I dropped it to 0.02–0.14 → stable reward 1.095–1.1125 (peak 1.1125). +15–20% over baseline

Bravo! I see multiple use cases for this.

Wow. Hardware limitations on robots are falling fast. The speed of these hands, at that dexterity, is incredible. Congratulations. Are each of those tiny mechanical joints custom-made?

yes they are custom made by wuji, the producer of this hand

Great progress in such a short period of time! How’s the grip?

with their brain and our STACKED #CAF #MGTOE smooth recursive flow pruning slow and low that the highkey reduction in signal latency might be the 808-key to give a hand to the man that had such a bild engineering dream! Nah mean; just wish the people CRAWLERS watchers hoping can see :—:📲🥷🏻📲❤️🔥☠️🐸
