Fasting + prayer is essential to hear Gods voice 🫶🏼🤍✨

Jesus told his disciples about prayer and fasting in Matthew 17:21 when they couldn’t cast out demons. 🤔

No fasting or prayer is required to hear His voice. If you are listening He will say anything He wants you to know, when He wants you to know something. Hearing the voice is the essence of the spiritual gift of prophesy. Another form of receiving prophesy is having a vision or spiritual dream.

I don't know where that is in the written word as far as fasting to hear God's voice? That sounds like a tradition that people have made up. Do you have some scriptures that say you can hear God's voice because of fasting?
