🚨🇺🇸 FAST-MOVING WILDFIRE NORTH OF LA FORCES EVACUATIONS Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for a wildfire that has already burned 500 acres near Castaic in Los Angeles County. The blaze, called the Hughes Fire, was first reported just before 11 a.m. near Lake Hughes Road and Castaic Lake,... according to Cal Fire and Angeles National Forest officials. The fire is spreading quickly due to strong Santa Ana winds and extremely low humidity, with the area under a Red Flag Warning. Fred Fielding of the LA County Fire Department: “This time of year is especially dangerous. It’s been almost 300 days since we’ve had any significant rainfall.” This comes after devastating wildfires earlier this month left 28 people dead and destroyed homes, schools, and churches across Los Angeles County.
