Fauci to BBC: "Even though you'll find the vulnerable will will fall by the wayside, they'll get infected, they'll get hospitalized, and some will die. It's not going to be this tsunami of cases that we've seen." So disappointing. Never ok to minimize the harm of any community.

First of all, it's never okay to say the vulnerable will die off and that's okay. Because this is what he said. But they all forget how even one single Covid infection can leave them all vulnerable. When does it end?

*Everyone* is vulnerable to a poor outcome from Covid. We should all be looking out for each other.

Fauci is just saying what the entire US establishment has been thinking all along — they’re willing to throw vulnerable people under the bus in order to preserve the illusion of normal. There’s a word for that

We're seeing a tsunami of cases so what the heck is he talking about.

There is no group that works harder to stay alive and protect our health than "the vulnerable": immunocompromised, transplant recipients, elderly, those undergoing chemotherapy. We are fighting every day. We have been through so much. Way before Covid, in many cases.

It takes some gall to give an interview and promote this position when the administrations he's been involved with created this so-called wayside. Shameful.

So. The vulnerable don’t matter? That’s 25% of society.. what if it was just “left handed” people I mean that’s only 15% of the population. Is there a list of populations that don’t matter? Color? Race? Religion? No? Just us annoying disabled persons.

The journalist should ask him, Why it took so long to get effective AIDS meds in the 1980s & why nurses protested in the streets with their patients ? yeah,I got stories....signed , AIDS nurse from Rosehedge ( 1st AIDS Hospice Seattle. WA 1988....) #WeDontForget #ApathyKills
