While participation in the Fault Proof System is permissionless, as part of a responsible & safe rollout the Security Council retains the power to revert to a permissioned state in the event of a system failure. This approach meets @L2Beat’s industry-standard Stage 1 definition.

The Fault Proof System was built and tested by many teams including @OPLabspbc, @Base, @a16zcrypto, @testinprod_io, and the OG @realGeorgeHotz. We’re also appreciative of auditors and the community for their reviews. A collaborative approach has made today’s launch possible 🙏
