Rockies down 2-0 in the bottom of the 9th with runners on 1B & 2B & they base hit bunt. The Red Sox are not surprised. They close with their 3B & 1B BUT their second baseman is way out of position to get to 1B before Cole Carrigg(A plus runner). In this situation the 2B can’t hold the runner on 2B & beat Carrigg to 1B. Looked like everything slowed down due to his lateness getting to 1st base. The SS has to hold the runner at 2B & the 2B has to cheat his positioning towards 1B so he beats Carrigg. It appears like they are hedging their positioning to protect the 6 hole in case Carrigg swings the bat. You can’t play everywhere. If you expect a bunt, you have to be in the best position to defend the bunt. The bunt was excellent. It was an early turn base hit bunt. Great direction & speed. The BHB choice put Carrigg in a better position to get out of the box fast(After seeing the ball down) & just beat the play to 1B. Of course you can argue that both teams did what they were supposed to do & the Rockies just out executed the Red Sox.

The FIFA football World Cup finals was not as exhilarating as expected and throughout it looked as if only Spain should win as they made 21 attempts to score a goal against Argentina’s 2 , that too in the last few minutes. Can you believe that !? Two goals scored by Spain were disallowed by the referee and those decisions looked marginal ! For me Spain beat Argentina 3-0, not 1-0 . Notes on today's #Bengals practice, the most competitive and game-like conditions we've seen so far. - Great back-and-forth with big plays from both sides. Logged six drives for ones-vs-ones and two touchdowns. Burrow connects with Andrei Iosivas and Tee Higgins for scores. - The Higgins TD was a classic back-shoulder high-point in the corner against DJ Ivey. Unguardable stuff. Jay Morrison had a perfect angle on the video. - Tanner Hudson with the play of the day for the 2nd-team offense with a fourth-down TD against a double team from Flacco. - Blitz was working forcing stops with Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter both coming up with nice plays. 📽️ Another day, another flash play for Colbie Young, although he also dropped a contested catch in the end zone. -Jonathan Allen with a sack. - No Bryan Cook, no Dax Hill, no Jalen Davis (in team) left the DBs a little shorthanded. - Honestly, just a high-level practice for both sides. Spent a long weekend with a group of folks in the mountains of Switzerland. All top people in their fields: a senior position in investment banking, CFO of a bank, serial acquirers, PE investors, etc. Some of the obvious observations: 1. Everyone’s busy, grinding, working hard to get things done, to take care of their family. 2. Almost all guys work long hours, be it Friday, Saturday, or Sunday; most folks had their phones on, getting some work done at any given time. 3. Everyone’s normal people - it really comes down to having abnormal goals, desires, and the willingness to do what is necessary to accomplish all that. When you hear folks in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s building and operating roll-up companies that are doing hundreds of millions in EBITDA, in niches you do not even know exist, it’s pretty special. Shows you the importance of focus and mastering your craft. All the 72 hours we spent together was great proof that more events like this need to happen. Going from online to offline, getting out from the day-to-day. Having various short and long interactions with people in different industries... Be it while on the lift coming up from the slope, during a coffee break, dinner, after dinner, 2-3 hour conversations, long walks, and overall brainstorming. Again, very special.

A little-known UEFA rule could damage Chelsea's Champions League chances. The Blues qualified for the last-16 of the tournament with a 3-2 away win against Napoli on Wednesday night. But they might be forced to give up playing their home leg at Stamford Bridge in the next round in what would be a massive blow, should it come to pass. Instead, Chelsea would have to host the game at a neutral stadium due to one of UEFA's regulations that only allow for one game to be played in a city on any given night. Arsenal and Tottenham finished above Chelsea in the group stage, meaning they take priority for the Tuesday and Wednesday night fixtures on March 17 and 18. The reasoning behind the rule is so that games can be adequately policed without stretching the security too thin. So Chelsea would have to seek special dispensation from UEFA to discard their rule while also getting support from the authorities in London to host the clash. Given that plenty of London football matches are played on the same day at the weekend, that aspect should not be an issue. UEFA say teams cannot play in the same stadium, city or in cities within 30 miles on a matchday.
