Fear is taught, not Born

Been saying this *all* my life- other than loud noises and falling, all fear is learned.

Honestly they just taught us what fear is

Fear is learnt the hard way😅

Experience teaches us all the fear we have

Exactement, ils ne savent ce que c'est que la peur.

The only fear that exists right from birth is fear of loud sound and height

Tout à fait.

True 📌

Apart from heights and sound every other fear is taught

👀👀👀

Fear is taught, not Born ❌❌❌ Fear is the result of a calculation processed by the human brain, utilizing comprehensive data ✔️✔️✔️ Do not perform calculations. If you are thinking of doing something reckless

You think so?

Yes I'm sure

With a feline, the story would be different!

From the perspective of fear ... Fear is created

Not entirely true. It's borne out of your awareness of danger. Let the child grow to know what a real snake is capable of doing, the reaction will change at the sight of one.

Have you now agreed with me that the child was not born with the fact that sneak is dangerous?

Neither were you born with it. Your awareness controls your reactions.

✨💟 gentle and warm vibes

Sure 😀

Feelings of fear or courage are heavily influenced—and largely determined—by one’s assessment of their own abilities and level of preparedness. Toddlers do not yet possess the capacity to make such assessments, as their brains are not yet fully developed.

That’s true to an extent, but fear is not always a result of assessing one’s abilities. Sometimes, it is a natural survival instinct.

How did this experiment ends?

Yeah, but it's not a bad thing. We learn to fear fire and hot objects too. Fear exists to keep us away from danger. Babies aren't aware of that, that's why we protect them.

I agree that fear serves a protective purpose, but that actually strengthens my point: fear develops through a combination of instinct, experience, and learning. My argument is not that fear is entirely absent at birth, but that much of what we learn to fear is acquired over time

Just because a toddler holds a snake, it doesn't mean they're brave

Bravery is the ability to recognize danger and still face it. A toddler holding a snake doesn't prove fearlessness, it proves they may not yet understand the danger. Fearlessness without awareness is not courage.

Same as racism
