This is the level of hate Congress has for Vande Mataram. The Karnataka Assembly began today, and Congress MLAs stopped singing Vande Mataram after two stanzas. But BJP MLAs continued singing the full Vande Mataram, and Congress couldn’t tolerate it. They started heckling BJP MLAs to stop them from completing Vande Mataram.

It's a pity that today in TN there are leaders who even question the link of Vande Mataram with our land and culture. In 1907, Bharathiyar translated Bankim Chandra's Vande Mataram, with a notable revised stanza published in his pamphlet Swadesa Gitankal. As a journalist and editor of journals like India and Vijaya, he promoted Vande Mataram. Bharatiyar's song "Vande Mataram enbom" became a an anthem in Tamil Nadu, often used in protests. Here is a small glimpse of his Vande Mataram sung by Ranjani Gayatri

‘Vande Mataram’ in a Madrasa in West Bengal. Only a teacher is singing. Others are not singing which is not good. By the grace of Maa Kali, one day, all will sing ‘Vande Mataram’.

Congress = Muslim League Now even saying "Vande Mataram" is uncomfortable for Congress; Vande Mataram is a symbol of national pride, not a matter of political convenience. Shame on Congress for weakening the very values that unite the nation!
