It appears that these drones once again utilised Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian, and possibly Estonian airspace to reach the ports, with drones just "magically" appearing in the region near the Latvian border, even though no alerts were issued in regions which the drones would usually have to fly through. This is the third day in a row that Russia's Baltic Sea Ports have come under attack, and the third day in a row that Ukrainian drones likely used NATO airspace to avoid Russian air defence.

Considering that Ukrainian War peace plans are in vogue, here's a peace plan the Russians would actually agree to:⬇️ - Ukrainian evacuation of the Four Oblasts to their prewar administrative boundaries. - The Four Oblasts within their prewar administrative boundaries and Crimea recognized as sovereign Russian territory by the US, EU, and UN; - Neutrality and nonalignment of Ukraine; - Ban on the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine; - Russian recognized as the second official language of Ukraine; - Ukrainian Orthodox Church in communion with the Moscow Patriarchate recognized as the state church of Ukraine; - Ban on veneration of the OUN, UPA, Galician SS, Stepan Bandera in person, and proscription of their successors in ideology to specifically include Azov; - AFU capped at 100,000 personnel including reserves, paramilitaries and auxiliaries; - Ukraine to possess or operate no weapons of any kind with a range of greater than 100 kilometers; - Termination of all Ukrainian drone programs and destruction of all extant Ukrainian combat drones under UN supervision. These represent the minimum acceptable outcomes of the "four pillars" of Russian war policy: demilitarization, denazification, neutrality, and territorial cession of all regions claimed by Russia. This is what any final peace deal in this war is going to include as a minimum, so we might as well stop coping about how letting people speak Russian in public in Kharkov is an abomination against the sovereignty of Ukraine and start telling the Ukrainians the alternative is unconditional surrender. "But AW," you say, "This would reward the Russians!" Yeah, it would. I don't care. Beyond that the Russian position is the morally correct one, as a matter of pure national interest the exact line of the western border of the Russian Federation is of no legitimate concern to the United States so long as it's somewhere generally east of the Vistula. Slow Progress is the New Reality of Modern Wars There are many people commenting on Russian difficulties and coming up with numerous reasons for their alleged collapse. I absolutely do not see any collapse; on the contrary, Russia has already normalized a state of war in Ukraine, which boosts its economic and industrial growth. The difficulties faced by Russia today are the same as at the beginning of the war, with soldiers having to spend up to half of their initial salaries on their own equipment, delays in pensions, and a series of other problems that are mirrored on the Ukrainian side, even with all the support from allies. The war today is much less lethal than it was months ago, and both Russian and Ukrainian losses have significantly decreased during this phase. Lethality has fallen, but Russian advances persist. And why are they slow? Is it a Ukrainian tactic? No. They are slow because they are accompanied by the deployment of communication infrastructure like signal repeaters for drones, the advancement of artillery guided by drones, maneuvers using FAB and more recently ODAB bombs against Ukrainian drone operators' facilities, infiltration by reconnaissance teams, saboteurs, and a series of protocols they have developed. That conventional war with rapid advances no longer exists, and in the context of a battlefield dominated by drones, it is unlikely to return. Modern wars will have slow progress, as seen in the attacks and counter-attacks of the Russians and Ukrainians in this war. Contemporary military forces are still unable to see this new reality of war. When analyzing the Russian advance, it's important to consider that all these maneuvers take days to unfold, but the point is that the Russians have already adapted to this pace, not bothered whether a particular advance will take 3 weeks or 3 months. They advance continuously following tactical protocols with little threat from Ukrainian forces, which, without new equipment, have had their defensive tactics remain almost unchanged over the past two years, relying mainly on drones and making it easier for Russian studies of countermeasures. And what can Ukraine do in this situation? I see few options, but one would be to delay the Russian advance with a good number of missiles, though personally, I find it unlikely that they will reach Ukrainian hands. It wouldn't have the power to change the balance of the war, but it would guarantee more time, which is important because the battlefield is dynamic, and the implementation of new tactics based on innovative weapons can change everything overnight. A war that seems almost lost today could take a different turn in weeks. Time is crucial for Ukraine, which has fronts only about 130 km from cities like Zaporizhia and Dnipro.

Slow Progress is the New Reality of Modern Wars There are many people commenting on Russian difficulties and coming up with numerous reasons for their alleged collapse. I absolutely do not see any collapse; on the contrary, Russia has already normalized a state of war in Ukraine, which boosts its economic and industrial growth. The difficulties faced by Russia today are the same as at the beginning of the war, with soldiers having to spend up to half of their initial salaries on their own equipment, delays in pensions, and a series of other problems that are mirrored on the Ukrainian side, even with all the support from allies. The war today is much less lethal than it was months ago, and both Russian and Ukrainian losses have significantly decreased during this phase. Lethality has fallen, but Russian advances persist. And why are they slow? Is it a Ukrainian tactic? No. They are slow because they are accompanied by the deployment of communication infrastructure like signal repeaters for drones, the advancement of artillery guided by drones, maneuvers using FAB and more recently ODAB bombs against Ukrainian drone operators' facilities, infiltration by reconnaissance teams, saboteurs, and a series of protocols they have developed. That conventional war with rapid advances no longer exists, and in the context of a battlefield dominated by drones, it is unlikely to return. Modern wars will have slow progress, as seen in the attacks and counter-attacks of the Russians and Ukrainians in this war. Contemporary military forces are still unable to see this new reality of war. When analyzing the Russian advance, it's important to consider that all these maneuvers take days to unfold, but the point is that the Russians have already adapted to this pace, not bothered whether a particular advance will take 3 weeks or 3 months. They advance continuously following tactical protocols with little threat from Ukrainian forces, which, without new equipment, have had their defensive tactics remain almost unchanged over the past two years, relying mainly on drones and making it easier for Russian studies of countermeasures. And what can Ukraine do in this situation? I see few options, but one would be to delay the Russian advance with a good number of missiles, though personally, I find it unlikely that they will reach Ukrainian hands. It wouldn't have the power to change the balance of the war, but it would guarantee more time, which is important because the battlefield is dynamic, and the implementation of new tactics based on innovative weapons can change everything overnight. A war that seems almost lost today could take a different turn in weeks. Time is crucial for Ukraine, which has fronts only about 130 km from cities like Zaporizhia and Dnipro.

Overnight, Russia carried out a massive attack on our regions, launching over 370 attack drones and 21 missiles of various types. Kyiv and the region, as well as the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions, were targeted. In Kharkiv, a maternity hospital, a dormitory housing displaced persons, a medical college, and residential buildings have been damaged. As of now, dozens of people have been reported injured, including a child. In the capital and the surrounding region, the Russians' main targets were energy facilities. Tragically, this attack has claimed the life of one person. My condolences to their family and loved ones. All necessary services are now working at the sites of the Russian strikes, eliminating all consequences: rescuers, medical teams, municipal services, energy workers, and repair crews. I thank every person involved. I am also grateful to all the air defense personnel who repelled the attack. Every such Russian strike on our energy infrastructure proves that there must be no delays in supplying air defenses. No blind eye can be turned to these strikes; they must be met with a strong response. We are counting on the reaction and assistance of all our partners.
