Spent the majority of my adult life in government as either military, government civilian, or contractor. Signature blocks have remained consistent until this woke bs. The point of the signature block is to let the recipient know 1. Your name. 2. Your office/title. 3. Primary and alternate channels to communicate with you. There have always been people named Chris or other gender ambiguous name, that were mistaken for either sex in emails. It was NEVER a thing to put he/him she/her bs on their signature block. If they felt it was necessary, pertinent, relevant, they would just inform them in the body of a follow up email, “oh and btw, I’m a ‘girl’, ‘boy’, etc. If they were probably never going to talk to them on the phone or face to face, then most people never bothered to correct the email sender, because it’s just NOT THAT IMPORTANT. It’s about accomplishing tasks, NOT YOUR F*CKING FEELINGS. This “reproductive person with a fetus bearing womb” problems come from indoctrination and not common sense. They can’t fire enough of these people.

Had an interesting conversation this weekend with an older relative who's politics are "just be a good person". She's relatively wealthy and gives to the types of causes you would expect this type of person to give. She gives her time too. She is actually a good person. I asked her if she was ever concerned that the causes she gave to would reduce the proportion of people like her in the world. She said that she thought the opposite. That she was inspired by the generosity and kindness of others, and that by giving she would increase the proportion of people like her. I said I believed she inspires her peers, but her peers aren't the people she's giving money to. Do they become productive and generous people, like her? Or is she just increasing the proportion of people who are takers and don't give anything back? Despite decades of generosity, this was clearly a question she had never thought about. The implications made her uncomfortable, and the conversation basically ended after that.
