A Semiconductor company was planning to invest in Karnataka. They were told by the Union Govt that if they want incentives, they shouldn't invest in 'Enemy States' according to a Karnataka Minister. Usually 'Enemy States' is a term used for enemy countries, but now it is used to address non-BJP ruled states. Modi Govt is weaponizing Central Schemes to promote investments to Gujarat and only Gujarat! Union Govt is supposed to be impartial, but even Maharashtra which is a BJP ruled state is also considered an enemy state. We are not against Gujarat's development. But India is not just Gujarat and Gujarat is not entire India. When a new Govt comes in the centre and if all projects are taking to another state, how will people of Gujarat feel? It is the same feeling that rest of India is having. States like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana have invested in technology, talent and created an ecosystem in semiconductor and other technology area over several decades. But they are declared as enemy states just for one man's ego. This will not end well. The CID of Karnataka has sent 18 letters in 18 months to the Election Commission. And they have asked the election commission for some very simple facts: 1) Give us the destination IP from where these forms were filled. 2) Give us the device destination ports from where these applications were filed. 3) Most importantly, give us the OTP trails—because when you file, you have to get an OTP. The CID of Karnataka has written to the Election Commission 18 times in 18 months, but they are not giving it. Why are they not giving it? Because this will lead us to where the operation is being done. And we are absolutely convinced where this is going to lead. I'll give you a little bit of the chronology: 👉 The FIR is filed on February 23. 👉 Karnataka CID writes to ECI requesting all details of these numbers and these transactions almost immediately in March. 👉 In August, EC gives the reply. It doesn't fulfil any of the demands and doesn't give us the information. It also doesn't give the CID of Karnataka the information that will lead them to their destination. 👉 On January 24, the Karnataka CID writes to the EC again and asks for full information. But it gets no answer from EC. 👉 Karnataka CID by September 25 has written 18 reminder letters. While this is going on, the CEC of Karnataka writes to the Election Commission in Delhi and says there is a matter. But he receives no answer. #WATCH | Bengaluru, Karnataka| JD(S) leader Nikhil Kumaraswamy says, "The incident which took place yesterday during SIR is a complete violation of rules, and the BLOs are compromised. It looks like the BLOs are hand in glove with the Karnataka govt. The procedure to give forms at homes is compromised. BLOs distributed the forms in community centres. We met the State Election Commissioner on this. When I brought this to the notice of DC Ramanagara, he told me that the Voter Facilitation Centres are only used for helping those who cannot fill up the forms. I don't know whether the BLOs or DC is compromised here. House-to-house visits by BLOs should be followed- this is the point we raised today. If this continues, we will go to Delhi."

It is the rule of the Karnataka Civil Service, where they have very clearly stated that people cannot participate in programs or be associated with associations that have political leanings. It has come to our notice that a lot of PDOs, village accountants and other state officers are going around and speaking against the government at RSS functions. That needs to be implemented. There is a framework that governs civil servants, and we're just asking that needs to be implemented... We have no issues with anybody following any association or any ideology, but if you want to be an employee of the state government of Karnataka, there are rules you have to follow. The rules have been there for decades. All I am asking is that rules should be implemented properly."
