My ex boyfriend’s roommate worked at a temp job. He would bring home candy that was deemed expired, but still technically edible, that I would snack on— starbursts, jolly ranchers, lifesavers, butterscotch baking chips. When I asked what his job was, he said a cattle feed factory, then proceeded to explain how they would just throw the candy in the processor, wrappers on and all. That is when I stopped eating non-grassfed/finished beef. You are what you eat.
