Did I just hear an American call Europeans inbred ..?

You can walk from one side of Paris to the other, bad analogy.

The "greatest country" can't afford to build a sidewalk next to a 20-trillion-lane road.

...and? The fact is a big country and many cities developed around cars doesn't make it less wrong, should have made them developed around people. The stories I read or americans taking half a hour drive to buy stuff and another half to get back sound insane to me.

Completely wrong though. Many American cities were initially walkable but became car-centric after World War II, just like many European cities. The difference is that, over time, many European cities recognized the downsides of car-focused infrastructure and made efforts to restore walkability through pedestrian zones, public transport, and cycling infrastructure. Meanwhile, most American cities continued to prioritize cars due to urban sprawl and zoning laws. Just excuses…

There’s no defending it tbh, lack of public transport also here which would be beneficial for tourists too

''It's not bad planning, we're just a HUGE COUNTRY'' 10/10 cope lmao

Hoosier pride, baby! My drive to work at my new job is about to be 45 minutes, one way, and I consider that not particularly bad.

Used to do that too a few years back. What’s funny is how that’s the same commute time by car in big cities too 🤣

European mind cant comprehend it
