Let me wear my HTC hat for a moment and break this down like a teacher explaining it to a class of 5th graders: "Class, let’s imagine this quote by our brother Cashbox - Imagine a father owns a big, beautiful house. When he passes away, he leaves it for all his children to share. But one day, one of the children sells the house without asking the others. Now, the rest of the family has a big choice to make. Do they sit back and say nothing? Or do they speak up and try to get their house back? This story is kind of like what’s happening in our country. Some people are saying that our president - elect in waiting Dr. Samura Kamara sold away his victory, something so important—like the right to lead the country— They claim he sold his victory to Julius Maada Bio. Now, instead of arguing and blaming each other, we should all be asking the most important question: When will you stand up and ask to see the truth? When will you ask for the real results—the disaggregated results—so they know what really happened? Remember, if something that belongs to you is taken without your permission, it’s okay to speak up and ask questions. That’s how we protect our democracy. You don't walk away from your house that your father left for you all because one of your siblings sold it... We await the peaceful transfer of power.

The escalating deteriorating peace and security situation in the DRC is of grave concern. The humanitarian crisis is being exacerbated by ongoing military actions, including the closure of airspace in Goma. I call for the immediate and unconditional cessation of hostilities, emphasise the obligation of all parties to facilitate humanitarian access to affected populations and urge both sides to pursue peaceful means to resolve this tragic conflict. As chair of the EAC, I call on the parties to the Luanda process and my brothers, President Félix Tshisekedi and President Paul Kagame, both of whom I have spoken to this evening, to heed the call for peace from the people of our region and the international community. After consulting the Heads of State of EAC Member States, we will convene an Extraordinary Summit in the next 48 hours to chart the way forward. Today, I conducted an on-site assessment of the situation in Ifon, Ilobu, and Erin-Osun communities, following the recurring communal clashes. I am satisfied with the level of compliance with the 24-hour curfew imposed to restore law and order, as well as the presence of security officials working to ensure lasting peace and protect lives and property. To support affected residents, I have ordered the distribution of food and relief materials which will be delivered to the palaces of the three monarchs for onward distribution to the victims. Additionally, I have directed the Commissioner of Police and the Director of State Security Service to invite the traditional rulers, chiefs, and identified ring leaders from each community for questioning and the signing of peace undertakings. I also urged security agencies to arrest and prosecute all perpetrators of violence.

As regional leaders, history will judge us harshly if we remain still and watch the situation worsen day by day. In line with the principle of African solutions for Africa’s problems, our countries have a collective responsibility to ensure we urgently address the existing security challenges that have heavily impacted the well-being of innocent civilians. This joint summit meeting in Dar es Salaam presents an opportunity to recommit our collective efforts in addressing the conflicts, and reaffirm our sustainable peace and stability in the entire EAC and SADC regions. It is crucial that we find a durable solution that upholds sovereignty, promotes inclusivity and ensures that the people of DRC can enjoy the durable peace and security that they have been yearning for, for decades. As a steadfast advocate for peace in Africa, Tanzania is deeply concerned about the persistent insecurity in Eastern DRC. The international community must stop this murderer.” Full text: As you know, ever since entering the election process, the Netanyahu government, primarily Netanyahu himself and his supporters, has increasingly used rhetoric directed at Turkey, adopting approaches targeting our President and some of our colleagues. We have been monitoring this from the very beginning. First of all, one thing must be emphasized: Netanyahu, and I emphasize Netanyahu, who has become a common enemy of humanity, the international community, and global security; a murderer; and a perpetrator of genocide, is not a person to be taken seriously at this point. The main entity Netanyahu is addressing is the international community and the international system. Because Netanyahu, his mentality, and the genocidal crowd acting alongside him pose a threat not just to Turkey but also to all global security. It is a major mistake to think of this as if it were solely Turkey's problem.
