FEMA cannot be eliminated - any sane person knows that. However, there are plenty of reforms that can make it a more effective agency, and I’m leading legislation that will help cut red tape and get FEMA focused back on disaster response and saving lives.

Congress must go further: slash redundant programs, enforce strict spending audits, and punish agencies that divert funds to consultants instead of victims. Efficiency isn’t optional when lives are on the line.

Trump wants to control aid packages like a ditator. He doesn't want Fema.I think republican states are not worried under Trump they can always beg for help and get it.I worry about democrat states that nothing can help them under Trump. States should put money back for disasters.
