I'll never understand why players get upset at this call. They do it on purpose for the exact reason it's against the rules, to disrupt the throw. Players are TAUGHT to do this before high school and told "Make the ump call you out, most of the time you get an extra base"

I am the biggest Ump hater of them all but this time they actually got it right, I’d say that heavily effected the throw, and the ejection was petty but per the rule book I guess it’s the right call too, still sucks lmao

MLB umpires have almost no power over the game today. They are clinging at thread of authority, many of them are shown to be wrong abt 50% abs challenges, questioned out or safe on the bases. They are lashing out with selective enforcement of rules. Bc they suck at their jobs
