‼️Is Charlie in that casket ⁉️ 👀 We went back to look at Charlie's suit, which we agree looks old. The color is really dull and looks dusty overall. The tie style looks old as well. It's just not a new crisp suit. It looks like it came from his dad's closet. Compare it to the image below of Charlie on stage in a suit. But then we noticed that it looks like his arms aren't really bent at the elbows much. At 6'5", which is the height verified by Charlie himself, his elbows would bend significantly for that hand placement. This just doesn't look right. Looking at the pants zipper, we placed a line across where the pants would button. His head to almost the bottom of the zipper on his pants fit in the upper half of the standard sized casket. The placement of three standard sized carry bars on the side of the casket is consistent with standard size. There wasn't any time allotted from his injury to the photo-op at casket to order a specialty length casket. The funeral homes in the area only carry standard size. His hand size compared to Erika's has always bothered us. Regardless of shrinking in the skin due to fluid removal, the length of the bones in your fingers stay the same. Charlie's fingers were much longer than Erika's. In the casket, Erika's hand almost engulfs the hand in the casket. Now we're beginning to think that isn't Charlie in the casket. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷‍♀️

Today, I held a Staff meeting where we had in-depth discussions about the use of air defense systems and the protection of our cities and communities. Steps were identified to make the use of the systems we already have more effective. We are also working on securing additional protection for Ukraine. We are very much counting on the "Patriot" system that Romania is preparing to provide, and I will be grateful to Romania for this crucial support. This is something that will truly help our people, our country, and our entire region. We continue to work with all our partners to secure stronger support for our defense—especially long-range solutions that could destroy a significant portion of Russian ballistic missiles before they even launch. This is one of the key issues of this war. The issue of our long-range capabilities and the necessary approvals from our partners, as well as the long-range shells and missiles we could use, is critical. Russian strikes will become impossible if we have the ability to destroy the occupier's launch sites, military airfields, and logistics hubs where they are located. Granting Ukraine these approvals and providing us with this weaponry would be the biggest step toward a real, just end to this war. Russia simply doesn't know how to fight without terror—terrorist strikes and their ability to create destruction have replaced tactics and strategy for the Russian leadership in this war.

To further enunciate our plans for the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMI) in Lagos, let me further clarify the approval we secured from the Federal Executive Council Meeting last week. 1. There are two international terminals in Lagos. Terminal One is that old building directly facing the long stretch of road leading to the airport built & commissioned in 1979 by the Obasanjo-led Military regime. It has two wings known as WING D and WING E. Terminal Two is the new building on the right-hand side as you drive into the airport, started by President Jonathan’s govt. with a Chinese loan, completed during President Buhari’s govt (with the loan) & made operational during President Tinubu’s first one month in office. 2. Due to years of neglect & because the traffic over time quadrupled beyond its capacity, the building & facilities at Terminal One became totally decrepit. We have been engaged in some patch jobs over the years just to make it a bit presentable. Now, shorn of all the rhetoric, what we simply want to do is to totally strip down that building, including the entire roof (leaving only the carcass), then re-design/reconfigure it & build a brand-new airport for the nation to meet modern, international standards that can also cater for the increased traffic. Both wings D and E would be affected. 3. As for the new Terminal (Two), we got approval to expand the building and the Apron (where aircraft park for boarding and disembarkation) in order to accommodate more aircraft, including wide-body aircraft. That is not all; we are constructing two new independent ring roads in and out of the airport (one for departure and one for arrival) and a bridge that will take travellers directly to the upper floor of Terminal Two Departure lounge, instead of lifting our luggage up the escalators when we are departing. It is a design error we intend to correct. 4. We have also introduced smart solutions to the new designs in order to deliver a smart airport to Nigerians that can compete with any airport in the world. 5. In all, Nigerians will be proud of what we are going to deliver. And take note, this will not be done by a loan from anywhere, but by the Renewed Hope infrastructure Development Fund, which is one of the gains made from the removal of subsidies. 6. As the work progresses, we will be inviting the Press, Civil Society groups, members of the National Assembly and interested Nigerians on regular tours of the facility to monitor the extent and quality of work. It is part of our national heritage and we should all rightly be interested in the final outcome. 7. I will also encourage our compatriots to simply google the cost of most modern airports built around the world in the last few years (including those in Africa like Angola, etc) and you will agree with me that the Bureau for Public Procurement that scrutinised and fixed the final cost of this project did a fantastic job for the nation. 7. And as a final word, it is important to tell Nigerians that we also have brand new Terminals in Kano, Abuja & Port-Harcourt. However, presently, they are all underutilised due to the traffic that is less than thirty percent of their capacities. 8. “DroneBuster gives a chance to the assault trooper! We continue working on individual anti-drone defense means. About a month ago, we met a military-civilian team that developed the "DroneBuster" complex – a muzzle attachment for the AK and ammunition that allows destroying enemy FPV drones at close and medium range. The main feature of the "DroneBuster" is that it works with standard combat cartridges! You can fire bursts without removing the muzzle attachment. The AK barrel does not get dirty! Reloading is simple and fast! And the attachment itself is "eternal." Engineers from "Interbrigades" participated in refining the ammunition by designing a container that can be 3D printed. The ammunition is a container with a powder compartment and a shot compartment, connecting to a special steel tip. The weight of the shot in the ammunition is – about 80 grams. For comparison: the maximum shot weight in widely used 12-gauge hunting cartridges is only 37 grams. Hence, the "DroneBuster" provides an order of magnitude better anti-drone defense effectiveness. Not all units have the opportunity to train fighters in shooting smoothbore weapons at flying targets to achieve high accuracy. The "DroneBuster" allows hitting drones without special training. It is much easier to hit FPV drones with it. The products have already been well tested during numerous combat missions, but they are catastrophically few! The "DroneBuster" is vitally necessary for hundreds of units. Not only assault groups – also securing and evacuation groups, supply personnel, and PVN. Existing production and financial resources are no longer enough to meet the increasing requests as the product spreads. And this is just the beginning. It is necessary to multiply the production of "DroneBusters" and disposable steel tips for ammunition. Also, tons of shot are required. Waiting for help from the state is already pointless. Accountability be dammed. “From 1 January 2026, the Australian CDC will stand as an independent agency, helping Australia prepare for, respond to and prevent public health emergencies. The new CDC will bring together the best science and expertise to provide trusted, evidence-based advice that protects people and communities across the country. The legislation gives the Director-General of the Australian CDC statutory independence to develop and provide public health advice based on the best available evidence. Work is now under way to move the programs, staff and systems of the interim Australian CDC into the new agency, so it’s ready to deliver from day one.” •••••••••••••••••••••••••• This week Parliament created a new independent agency that isn’t accountable to the Parliament. It’s not just any agency but a centre for disease control that will not be accountable to Parliament. As I pointed out on numerous occasions whilst a Senator, an almost extra 10,000 Australians died between May and December 2021 from the year before. (See comments) This was after the rollout of the vaccine but before Covid was widespread in the community. I also uncovered that the TGA knowingly covered up confirmed deaths from the vaccine by a coroner. In my view this was straight out criminal behaviour. One of the reasons I started is to see the medical professionals that both rolled out the vaccine, and then covered up resulting deaths be brought to justice. I also want to see the major parties held to account for their negligence in holding the bureaucrats to account. To think the health bureaucrats have now been given another layer of protection while thousands of Australians are still suffering from the vaccine is just another example of why Australians are fed up with the Government.

After over a decade of evading air defenses over the skies of Syria during a campaign against Iran's supply of weapons to Hezbollah, the Israeli Air Force says it has achieved total air superiority in the area. An Israeli bombing campaign earlier this week across Syria, aimed at taking out advanced weaponry that could fall into the hands of hostile elements following the collapse of the Bashar al-Assad regime, also destroyed the vast majority of the air defenses in the country. According to the military, the IAF destroyed 86% of the former Assad regime's air defense systems across Syria, totaling 107 separate air defense components and another 47 radars. The numbers include 80% of the short-to medium-range SA-22, also known as the Pantsir-S1; and 90% of the Russian SA-17 medium-range air defense system, also known as the Buk. Both Russian-made systems had posed challenges to the IAF during its so-called campaign between campaigns — or Mabam, as it's known by its Hebrew acronym — aimed at countering Iranian weapon deliveries to Hezbollah in Lebanon and attempts by Iran-backed groups to gain a foothold in the country, which began in 2013. Only a handful of air defense systems now remain in Syria, and they are not considered a major threat to the IAF, which says it can operate freely across the country's skies. "The Syrian air defense array is one of the strongest in the Middle East and the blow caused to it is a significant achievement for the Air Force's superiority in the region," the IDF says. The new freedom of aerial action also brings the IAF new opportunities. If in the past, the IAF would not fly directly over Damascus when carrying out strikes on Iran-linked targets in the capital, it now can. The IAF can also send surveillance drones over the Syrian capital without the fear of them being shot down by the advanced Russian-made air defense systems. While the Iran-backed Assad regime has fallen, Israel still will operate over Syria to ensure that advanced weapons from the former government's army do not reach Hezbollah in Lebanon or any other group hostile to Israel in the region. The bombing campaign on Sunday and Monday, which began hours after Assad's regime fell, also hit Syrian airbases, weapon depots, weapon production sites, and chemical weapons sites, in addition to the air defense systems. The strikes destroyed hundreds of missiles and related systems, 27 fighter jets, 24 helicopters, and more. A total of 1,800 munitions were used in the strikes, taking out nearly every site of "strategic military capabilities" that Israel was aware of. The IDF assesses that it did not destroy all of the Assad regime's military capabilities, and Hezbollah will most certainly try to get its hands on advanced weapons that were so far spared. The chances of weapons from Syria finding their way to Hezbollah in Lebanon are considered to be high, according to the IDF's assessments. To prevent weapons from reaching Hezbollah, the IAF has bombed all of the border crossings between Syria and Lebanon, leaving just one of them, Masnaa, open for pedestrian traffic. The IAF says it is constantly monitoring the crossings to ensure that Hezbollah does not return to use them for weapon deliveries. At the same time, the military also believes it has dealt a major blow to the weapon manufacturing capabilities of the entire Iran-led axis, in Lebanon, Syria, and in Iran itself with October's strike in response to Tehran's ballistic missile attack.

I miss building simple, working software. At some point, we decided to complicate everything for no reason. Today, people can't build anything without using three frameworks, 17 libraries, and a swarm of microservices. And here is a funny paradox: To understand how these complex systems work, we've had to build systems and tools that generate data we can later analyze. But the more data we produce, the harder it is to process and make sense of it. We are in the middle of an observability crisis. The tools we have are inefficient, and we don't have enough people to keep systems running. A few weeks ago, I met the team Resolve AI, and they have built a fundamentally new approach to observability and incident management: Instead of depending on humans to run a system, Resolve built a Production Software Engineer who runs the system using AI while letting people supervise. And it's not only crazy, but I think this will fundamentally change how we monitor and maintain systems in production for years to come. I recorded a quick video to showcase a simple example of how Resolve works behind the scenes. There are two main things I'd like you to notice: 1. The tool can correlate data across logs, metrics, and traces coming from different systems. You don't have to do any work to get the information that matters right in front of you. 2. (This is the big one!) The tool can diagnose what's happening and give you instructions on how to solve it. It can produce causal relationships across the entire system stack. Resolve is backed by investors like Replit's founder Amjad Masad, Reid Hoffman, Jeff Dean, Fei Fei Li, Andy Price, among others. They are currently working with a select number of companies and want to onboard a few more. The Lessons from Vietnam Twenty years ago, the Ukrainian company Vizar was producing air defense missiles for the S-300 systems. With underground facilities and years of expertise, the company was bombed by Russian forces merely two months after the onset of the war. Vizar, along with other Ukrainian companies, had ample opportunity to relocate their production to new sites, yet they did not take this action. This reflects a series of missteps by the Ukrainian MoD and their Western advisors. Between 2014 and 2021, Ukraine received billions in support aimed at modernizing its armed forces. This funding was sufficient to upgrade significant portions of its arsenal, including the T-64 tanks. At that time, in a strategic decision, Ukraine opted for modernization rather than procuring new tanks. However, a similar process was required in their domestic factories to produce missiles and upgrade the Soviet-designed systems that in 2022 constituted 80% of their military inventory, but the Ukrainian MoD was able only to refurbish some weapons. It is in this context that Vietnam offers important lessons for Ukraine. Vietnam boasts more than three factories capable of producing and upgrading Soviet systems. Their S-300 systems, including radars, are being enhanced at the engineering department of the A29 Factory. The A31 and A41 factories are also engaged in processing surface-to-air missiles and producing spare parts for the S-75, S-125, S-300, and various other surface-to-air missile systems. Notably, the same factory successfully upgraded the S-125 "Pechora" surface-to-air missiles, resulting in the creation of the S-125 2TM "Pechora-M" variant, which offers superior performance compared to the original model. These Vietnamese factories are adept at repairing, assembling, and upgrading their weaponry. Currently, Vietnam is also engaged in upgrading its Scud missiles. Vietnam implemented a strategic approach that Ukraine should have adopted, a necessity that was overlooked by Western advisors, whether intentionally or not. Before the conflict, Ukraine possessed approximately 4,500 defense missiles but failed to establish a network of companies capable of upgrading and organizing the constant supply of these Soviet missiles. Despite Ukraine's significant legacy in missile development during the Soviet era, there was no strategic planning for a sustainable military supply chain, resulting in a reliance on Western systems, which are also experiencing ammunition shortages. The current Ukrainian arsenal contains numerous short-range air defense systems that are now abandoned and inactive. NATO's assessments regarding Russian military and industrial capabilities were flawed, as was their analysis of the repair logistics for Western equipment supplied to Ukraine. Additionally, there was a lack of planning aimed at creating a sustainable military framework for Ukraine. This occurred despite the existence of companies with a long-standing tradition and underground facilities specifically designed to operate during wartime. Currently, only a few Ukrainian companies are responsible for the limited production of missiles, such as the Neptune, along with some drones. Milestone! We (robotic arms for gadgets assembly) finished the first commercial order, which brought the first revenue. Here are some learnings from this: The customer was a smart toy manufacturer. The task was to add a heatsink to Raspberry Pi. We received parts from them and returned the assembled modules back. Currently, it's done by teleoperation. Later it will be done by a remote employee via the Internet. Then it will be automated action by action, reducing the operator's time on this and making the task profitable. ps. If you have an assembly task that we can do for you asynchronically - leave a comment below. Learning 1. It's possible! This task which is usually done by the human arm with 5 fingers can be done with a two-finger gripper with the addition of a couple of simple tooling. The task was not simplified. We peeled off thin films from stickers, unpacked paper boxes, moved PCB boards full of components, etc. And no unsolvable problems have been encountered yet. Challenges: 1) The paper box shifted during the opening Solved with the plastic walls that you can lean against 2) Heat pad, stuck to the gripper instead of heat sync. Can be solved by gripper with a pump, but this time solved with the patience of the operator 3) The film on the pad is very thin. Turned out that sub-millimeter arm precision is enough to peel it off with just a regular gripper. 4) The working area has not enough space. You'll only know this by doing real tasks in bulk. This could be solved by an extra pair of long arms, but in this case, solved with the patience of the operator. I think that in the end, we will have 5-10 types of universal tooling and 5-10 types of grippers to solve almost all the problems in such assembly tasks. Learning 2. It's slow. It took 5 times more time, than doing it with human hands. But the good news is there's a lot of room for improvement. We now have specific “time for task” metrics, which we will decrease with iterations. The main reasons for slowness: 1) To rotate the gripper to a steep angle you are forced to control one robot arm with two hands instead of using both arms. We can fix this by just making more room for rotations. 2) Grabbing PCB board with two arms is hard. A slight difference in rotation can break the board, and it's hard to control these angles visually. To solve this, the best way is to use force feedback so you can feel the pressure applied to the item. 3) Accuracy and steadiness is still can be improved We will try a metal version and double the motors to do this. 4) It is physically difficult for the human hands to move with such precision To solve this, we will add a pad for the hands like in surgical robots Learning 3. It's a good business model The "Factory in the cloud" is a good business model for this stage. You send us parts and we send back assembled modules. Currently, it's more convenient than sending a robot to your place, as we can iterate/fix the robot quickly and utilize it 100% of the time. Speaking during the meeting at Alausa, Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab said the state will continue to pay special attention to waste management adding that waste is not a waste but remain one of the best resource every where. He said Waste to energy is a project that the State Government is willing to embark on in order to move the narrative forward in a progressive and productive way. "Our resolve from the beginning of this tenure is that whatever we have to engage in to manage and deploy our solid and liquid waste as a resource is a priority for this government as it will save Lagos but other neighbouring state" he said. The Commissioner stated that the Ministry which is a public facing ministry has resolved to embrace any project that will cut the carbon foot print in the state. He said the state being a coastal state is faces alot of challenges, one of which is the Atlantic Ocean rising at the peak of the rainy season adding that the state is also at the end of numerous tributaries where water is discharged into the lagoon all of which could lead to flooding in the state. He said lagos generates between 13,000 to 14,000 tonnes of waste per day and the state is open to suggestions about possible productive ways to turn it into a Resources and move the state forward. Wahab said lagos as a State is working to decongest the roads and make Lagos a 21st century mega city saying that the cause and effect on the environment is that these moves help to reduce the emissions on the long run. According to him, As a result of current energy crisis in Nigeria, this has caused the spike in the cost of PMS and its multiple effects on the economy. So if the Lagos State Government can go ahead with this project. it will solve half of the problem in the PMS high price in Lagos. "This project is something we have to pursue deliberately and diligently. Comm. says the State Government will continue to pay special attention to waste conversion The quest to make good use of the high solid waste generated in Lagos State got another boost on Tuesday as the state expressed readiness to partner with some Sweden organizations on how to turn both solid waste and liquid waste to energy across the metropolis. Speaking during the meeting at Alausa, Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab said the state will continue to pay special attention to waste management adding that waste is not a waste but remain one of the best resource every where. He said Waste to energy is a project that the State Government is willing to embark on in order to move the narrative forward in a progressive and productive way. "Our resolve from the beginning of this tenure is that whatever we have to engage in to manage and deploy our solid and liquid waste as a resource is a priority for this government as it will save Lagos but other neighbouring state" he said. The Commissioner stated that the Ministry which is a public facing ministry has resolved to embrace any project that will cut the carbon foot print in the state. He said the state being a coastal state is faces alot of challenges, one of which is the Atlantic Ocean rising at the peak of the rainy season adding that the state is also at the end of numerous tributaries where water is discharged into the lagoon all of which could lead to flooding in the state. He said lagos generates between 13,000 to 14,000 tonnes of waste per day and the state is open to suggestions about possible productive ways to turn it into a Resources and move the state forward. Wahab said lagos as a State is working to decongest the roads and make Lagos a 21st century mega city saying that the cause and effect on the environment is that these moves help to reduce the emissions on the long run. According to him, As a result of current energy crisis in Nigeria, this has caused the spike in the cost of PMS and its multiple effects on the economy. So if the Lagos State Government can go ahead with this project. it will solve half of the problem in the PMS high price in Lagos. "This project is something we have to pursue deliberately and diligently. This is because while the government on its own part is trying to push out CNG at lower cost, conversion of waste to energy will also be an option especially for public transport in Lagos" Wahab said Lagos account for over 50% of the vehicular traffic in the country with the smallest land mass as well as 22million people which is 10% of the country’s population being inhabited in with less than 3,600 square kilometers of land, stressing that the project is not an option but a necessity. He recalled that earlier in the year, the state government had been in consultation with two Dutch companies one which will turn waste to energy and the other which will deal with electronic waste, adding that the state can indeed change the notion that waste is not a waste but a resource. The head of the delegation, representative of the Consul of Sweeden and the Business Promotion Officer, Sweden Embassy Abuja, Ms. Sara Ibru noted that the Lagos Government is known to be very pro - active in all its endeavours and that the Swedish Organizations are willing to collaborate with Lagos State to turn solid and liquid wastes into valuable resources.
