We are supposed to be the next generation of explorers, risktakers, adrenaline junkies. Addicts to the feeling of being so damn unemployable your only option is owner. The inability to sleep because of visions so big they pull you from bed in the dead of the night. Dreams so futuristic people laugh when you tell them. Those are the builders I admire. It’s f*cking hard. But we do the work.

A wrestling accident put me in a wheelchair activating the most painful pain known to man. Seven years 15 doctors until I finally got a diagnosis. At 300 pounds I taught myself how to walk again without the aid of the medical community…no pain pills I felt everything! So when I’m hard on myself, and my body isn’t able to do what I wanted to do, I just think of the girl in the wheelchair and how proud she would be of all the things that we are able to do now! It’s what she would call magic! God is good!

What you see in these visuals is really painful if you are an African, watching black people treating each other in this manner. But we must also understand that such things will not go away until we address the root causes that drive people from their own countries into other lands. It is ironic that today it is the Ghanaians who are chasing Nigerians from Ghana, when in 1983 Shehu Shagari, then president of Nigeria, chased Ghanaians away from Nigeria, accusing them of messing up the economy. History has a cruel way of repeating itself on our continent. Instead of learning from past mistakes, we recycle the same prejudices and injustices. It is tragic that more than forty years later, Africans still treat fellow Africans as outsiders, forgetting that our destinies are tied together. Until African leaders create economies that give dignity, jobs, and opportunities to their people, the cycle of forced migration, resentment, and xenophobia will continue haunting us.

🚜 Who do we think we are these days? 🚜 6 years ago we drilled our first 30 acres of barley. Using none of our own gear and fair to say, they were fairly mediocre crops, not because of how they got drilled but because we didn’t have the timings right. But you have to start somewhere. Fast forward to today, we will have 150ac of arable in the ground by the middle of next week for summer harvest. All using our own gear. It might not be a 5 or 6 furrow plough and it’s not a 4-6m drill but it does our job just grand. Investing in our “new to us” gear has pushed the farm on more than anything. Around our area, timing is key to sowing crops, the weather window is so small

Bernoulli was THRILLED to have his buddy home and Brix was so happy to see his giant friend. Brix seems to be doing just fine, but last night was scary. He started vomiting uncontrollably and crying shortly after his supper. Thankfully, the xrays showed he ate his food too fast and was a bit backed up which was an uncomfortable mix. We were told that it was good we brought him in- puking more than 4 times in a row isn’t great and the little man was on number 9 by the time he got into the pet emergency. We do mix his dry food with water, but he may just need wet food instead so we are trying that.

Thank you for stopping by our booth, hanging out with us, and taking pictures with us. Our group photo session took over an hour (we literally still can’t believe it). To be honest, it was a bit hectic since it was so busy. However, you guys were all so nice and patient and understanding! And even though it lasted over an hour, you guys waited in line just to meet us 🥹. Thank you for purchasing our JolliBaddies posters (we SOLD OUT omg!!🤯)! This is also unbelievable to us. Thank you for going to our panel on Saturday and playing Bingo with us!!! IN THE MAIN PANEL ROOM TOO!!!! We thought that only 20 people would attend and were originally going to be in the smallest room. However, the line for the panel was SO long that Tsumicon staff ended up switching our room from the smallest room to literally the LARGEST panel room!!! Our minds are still blown away by this. In addition, our panel line was SO long that staff had to cut it off because we were at MAX capacity!!!! Making smart glasses frames was way harder than I thought. Here's what I learned: Materials matter. You can't use normal plastic, because it has to be light and safe to touch your face So we chose TR90 plastic that's made for eyewear Fake gray-market TR90 plastic is common in China. You gotta go to the source and make sure your TR90 is legit Glue is so important. If you put too much glue it will give issues, and add weight. Too little glue, won't stick. That's why it's better for a robot to do it (VIDEO) If the glue doesn't match the material perfectly, then it won't stick. So we tried like 4 glues to get the best one for our smart glasses You design the frame in 3D and then make a tool. A tool is just a metal mold that is shaped like the glasses. You put a bunch of melted plastic (TR90) in the tool, let it cool, and out pops the glasses frame. Do that 10,000 times Tooling leaves seams in the frame, so we figured out where to put the seam so it doesn't cut into your ear when you wear it Obviously this all must be super lightweight because the electronics are heavy The camera needs a certain perspective, so the glasses frame angles the camera down to capture hands in videos Throughout the design process, you can't sacrifice style And now our Mentra Live frames are born

🚨 Ben Stokes explains the difficult decision to move on from James Anderson 🎙️ " Jimmy is undoubtedly the greatest fast bowler we've ever produced, and probably will be for a very long time. What you and he achieved in terms of longevity is just incredible. We asked Jimmy to come in. I was actually supposed to be in America, but I couldn't get my visa, so I thought, "Well, I'm in Manchester, so I'll come and do it as well." ( About Conversation) It was a tough conversation because Jimmy was still a top-class bowler. But we were looking to build a bowling attack for Australia, and we just didn't feel that Jimmy was going to be part of those plans. Rather than holding onto Jimmy and then going to Australia without him anyway, we wanted him to leave the game on terms that felt right to him. I'm sure there was resentment. I'm sure there was disappointment because it wasn't an easy thing for someone who's done so much for the game to hear. But the game moves on from people.
