I love how the 2nd baseman just accepts it as how the game is played. Benches definitely clear today.

Back in the old house....

Willie Randolph and Frank White were great 2d baseman but both took a beating on DP balls. However, unlike the primadonnas who play today, they didn’t throw tantrums, they just went about their business.

@shegone03 - Dick Green is a true professional. Got a late throw and ate the ball. Didn't whine. Patted each other on the shoulder and moved on. We all know Hal McRae breaking up a DP, rolling slide - didn’t go for knees or ankles or spikes. Learned to play 2B prepped 4 this
