FF13-2's composers were moving different man

They can never make me hate this trilogy, worth playing for combat alone even tho it's def a acquired taste with how experimental it is. But I'm glad atleast 13-2 seems to be fun from the start from what I've played today and doesn't need to take 10-20h for that to happen

I'm on chapter 10 of FFXIII and I've only checked 2's OST a little bit but man, Paradigm Shift sounds BONKERS with the gameplay, it's a BOP

Nowhere near the only standout track too so got a lot to look forward too

I'm unironically gonna have my ears explode with Augusta Tower's mix, spoiled myself that much music-wise but it'll still work like a charm lol

naoshi mizuta is the most underrated composer at sqex & it is just CRIMINAL he hasn't been in more projects

The New Bodhum track is genuinely of my favourite tracks of all time, unreal that they dropped something so amazing right at the start of the game

13 and 13-2 have some of the best music in the franchise. A lot of the 13 teams members are working on Remake trilogy too, and its so great to see them get to show what they could've done with the right resources/guidance (incl. some music people ofc)

If Nobuo Uematsu is the John Williams of video games, Masashi Hamauzu is definitely Hans Zimmer.

This always reminded me of Hideaki Kobayashi's Phantasy Star Online score.

Masashi Hamauzu. He's my favorite composer. Hitoshi Sakimoto is 2nd. Nobuo Uematsu comes 3rd

The whole soundtrack trilogy in a nutshell, but yeah I also have a soft spot for XIII-2 😁.

They went all out with the english dub. Every so often I get a hankering to go listen to Limit Break. There was one other but despite my vast array of OSTs, I cannot find it in all my mess.

Great OST's across all 3 of them~ I have a number of favourites I just go back to listening. Oerba's themes in 1 and 2 are like my favs! Yusnaan's themes in 3 are pretty good!

13 is shit, 13-2 is peak because Noel is such a great main character and 13-3 is shit again

The trilogy may not be my overall favourite FF, but I definitely love its combat and music. It’s still a fun game regardless because of the gameplay alone
